There is no deal according to Raiola himself. :D

Probably just trying to apply public pressure so he gets paid but still, there is no deal. ;)
No, he said the deal is not done. There's a difference. He didn't say that a deal has not been agreed to. Last summer, was there a deal agreed between United and Madrid for DDG? Yes. Was that deal ever a done deal? No. If it was done, DDG would be a Madrid player, and Keylor Navas would be a United player. Done means signed, registered, etc. Especially when it's someone like an agent, lawyer, etc., where very exact wording is a hallmark of their business.

Have a read on the analysis dann10 or whats his name is over at juventuz has done. He has done an analyzis of the Adidas campaign and the Raiola tweets from his mom's basement, and is now hailed as Nostradamus mach2 over there.

They are even more desperate than us.

That's what I was reffering to.
I think adidas did it very well to put some hints for sides in there so everyone talks about is - we'll see what the ending looks like..

First post in this thread, been lurking for long enough, now. :P

Mino Raiola is a bit of a cnut, isn't he? No wonder Fergie disliked him.
And its due to Fergie's mistake 4 years that we are currently in this position. The man is a legend, no question, but he definitely dropped the ball on Pogba.

As has been shown in that graph, when you account for our turnover this is only our 3rd biggest signing ever. He's clearly got loads of quality and, at 23, represents a long-term investment.

We've splashed big on young, somewhat unproven players before (Rooney, Rio) and there is an element of risk but if we got him to his potential then it's well worth it.

That's leaving aside the marketing side of it by the way.

and the fecking agent's fee. get your hands in the air this is a robbery

Haven't accessed the internet all day, just got in, expecting to read about the Poggy announcement, and nothing.

Grrr..

If there is any negative to this window it's going to be that we have multiple players with Raiola as their agent. He comes across as such an asshole and this is when he's working deals in our favour.

What he meant was 48 hours in a 24 series type format. 1 hour every week, until the ultimate twist at the end of episode 24. We go back in time and resign Anderson who has lost weight and is a 100 mil player.

I am not dismissing his views or news completely. I am just saying that this deal if it happens is going to be a world record. I am just surprised that how come well known and reputed lot like bbc are not even involved, nor do they have a single report. It's just a bit odd for me to believe a journalist on twitter blindly.

I do now agree to the fact that United would have never consented to allow the United crest if there was no good news in the end. I just never saw it that way and now can understand the meaning of the ad.

Just to make sure the point about journalists wasn't aimed at you but a general observation I've made following this thread for weeks without getting involved. And you're spot on regarding trusting Twitter-information blindly considering how many pretenders and frauds there are out there. We should all read all transfer updates with very critical eyes and the extendes use of anonymous sources obviously weakens every story. That said, it doesn't mean that some of them doesn't excist. Di Marzio was just an example of a guy that has a proven track record when it comes to transfer stories involving Raiola's clients. RMC' Mohamed Bouhafsi is another one regarding everything Ligue 1-related but those guys are few and far between.

Regarding your point about BBC I can see where it's coming from but that's more about an editorial stance within the organization that they don't contribute to transfer speculation unless they've got some sort of confirmation from one or more of the parties involved. Some BBC reporters has said that the deal is close to completion on Twitter, though. After Moyes left United has, as far as I'm concerned, run a pretty tight ship with not much information leaking out until the clubs ready to go public itself and I guess the BBC' not that well sourced when it comes to Juventus, Pogba or Raiola which could be an explanation of the lack of updates.

Amazes me how people still doubt whether this deal has been done.

People who being pessimistic are A) just attention seeking, or B) just genuinely naive

It will be done I think, perhaps some people being cautious has we have been dissapointed in the past

Hazard, Ronaldinho, Sanchezster United, only god knows. :(
Hazard we had competition. It was never this evident that he was coming. Sanchez clearly said he wont move to a Champions League team. We came 7th that season. We were out from the start. Ronaldinho was a miss but we got Ronaldo instead so that worked out well too.

What if this still isn't announced come next Friday?

Who's to say Madrid isn't hijacking the deal right now? Di Marzio? He clearly doesn't have a clue.

Believe you me, I've been burnt a few times too. My biggest muppetry was when Ronaldihno was coming to us. I remember, I bought about 4/5 different newspapers a day, Monday to Sunday, just to get my muppet fix. I was absolutely sure he was ours.

However, like some huys have already mentioned, the pure fact he's not in the Juve Adidas ad but he is in ours, just confirms the deal!

Yeah but you always say the same things...try optimism for a change.

Bizarre thing to say regarding our history with failed big summer signings.

The fact this has been draggin on forever, our history with deals like this falling through in the last stages and the fact this hasn't been reported as a done deal by any real reliable sources like the BBC makes people nervous and the slightest indication of bad new is enough to let that doubt creep in.
