There is a chance he will cut short his holiday, although I wouldnt want him to, if we make it official early next week. Serie A starts later than the premier league so he was slated to come back later. Are there any other players from the Euros who are still on their holidays?
If it's been done (and we're past the 48 hours mark) wouldn't a journalist come out and say?
Go and think about what you've done.POST #1000!
Oh Raiola said the deal isn't done?
Basically confirms it's done. It's Raiola after all. Guessing this gets announced Monday.
Where's the threadmark?Plenty have.
Because he's supposed to be on vacation through next weekend. So Unless United are going to ask him to cut short his vacation ( and it's not a good way to re-start the relationship by saying, "We own you now, quit your fun and get back here to work"), then there's no rush.Bs.
Why would we leave it that late.
They start later than we do.Why is his holiday so long anyway? Even if he wasn't joining us, don't you think he'd want to get back and get ready for the start of the Serie A?
I think the papers did say they might have an agreement to sign him for a big fee, not 100m though, but they didnt expect the Neymar contract negotiations as a cause of concern but with him demanding a big contract they cancelled negotiations with Juventus. They essentially chose Neymar over Pogba.Just thinking back... Am I wrong in remembering Barca agreed a deal to buy Pogba last summer? I swear I remember hearing about that.

It can be 100% agreed by all parties, all the paperwork looked over by all of the lawyers, and still wait a week. If United, Juve, Pogba, and Raiola, all know that it's a certainty, they aren't going to be in a rush just to appease the fans. Especially not when the 1000 page milestone of this thread is looming.
Yup, the papers keep writing about him, the sports shows keep talking about him, the tweets keep tweeting about him. Every day this goes on, especially with any on again/off again news, is that much more media exposure for the Pogbrand and the United brand. If he wasn't on vacation, I think it would be different. But if he's vacationing until August 6/7, then there is no rush. I suspect that it's done, even if there are minor details, and all parties know that it's done, so they're milking it. Rather than have the "done deal" stories for a day or two, then a week of nothing before he's introduced, everyone wants the headlines to keep coming day after day. He's clearly building up the hype for when his client is to be announced. If he'd confirmed we are very close then less attention would be on the player and the announcement. It's all a big set of "mind games" from all parts to build the hype. I'm also pretty sure there's an agreement with Juve that United will be the ones to announce this, unlike with Dortmund and Mkhi.
Or he wants the vacation that was first promised to him, then planned by him, after playing 11 months straight.Surely he would want to hit the ground running, get back to training next week.
Pogba, Martial and Mkhitaryan in the same team is giving me goosebumps.![]()
I guess the Serie A starts later than the Premier League so he gets a longer vacation. Is pogba the only footballer in the world still in vacation? everyone seems to be back in training including those who played in the final.

You're just been daft, of course people will still have their doubts.
If anything this is an 'attention seeking' post in itself.
We could have used the money to buy Barkley and Allen who are statistically better. Would have been a good british core too

Someone said he had apparently played for the past 11 months pretty much nonstop so needed a bigger break. Looking on transfermarkt he played around 5,600'. Never injured and lasted 90 minutes most of the time. Played more than Ronaldo. Why is his holiday so long anyway? Even if he wasn't joining us, don't you think he'd want to get back and get ready for the start of the Serie A?
He has brought in Eric Bailly (£32m), Pogba (£100m), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£35m) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (free).
