Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Well but he played a big part in them getting to the Euros. Fatigue could have been a factor towards the end of the tournament. Ronaldo had a very poor CL final against Barca. This past year he scored against Bayern in the away leg but his team still lost. You still havent given any evidence he actually goes missing in the Serie A. You havent seen enough of him or you're going by what the journalists say.

France qualified as hosts for a start, so I won't have any 'evidence' of him going missing in those qualifiers as they never played any qualifiers!

I haven't got any evidence of him going missing?. What do you want me to do, post the hours and hours of Serie A games I've watched where he hardly had any influence? I've seen plenty of games mate. Plenty. And with all due respect most journalists are touting him as a box-to-box midfielder which I say he clearly isn't. What a car crash of a post .

Its more of a silent domination but it is real, you have to tie up so many resources trying to deal with them that in a sense they are dictating the game just by being on the pitch, then eventually after engineering a chance they can be the difference maker then.

Moddy kroos iniesta and busquets are all better than pogba, I agree they are the ones that control the tempo of the game but those are four of the best of the business and completely unavailable, when you look in to players after those four it really is a struggle to think of someone who can do that.

Yeah but the point is Pogba won't dictate the tempo of a game either.

You haven't added enough laughing emoticons in that post.

I think he has been learning to in serie a this season is my point. Plus the premier league is different it really is, how many tempo dictators are there in the prem? I would say fabregas is a decent one and then that's it. Prem is a different style of football.

Fabregas is yes. I was slated for rating him earlier in the thread so be careful

Premiership is just counter attacking, and who gets tired first.

The Premiership isn't a better league, the quality isn't better, just the teams are closer in terms of Quality. (The top handful of players don't play in the EPL).

I think that's a reason why United dominated under SAF, like you said a tempo player and a player that controls a game. United were lucky to have Paul Scholes for his career and he was a large reason why the team was so successful for so long.

It's another reason why losing out on Toni Kroos was another brainfart moment by the board.

Fellow muppets,

The best focus on being first

They are telling us to focus on 'first'

2/ Pogba first club after leaving Le Havre was us

3/ In the first section of the adidas video, we continually see 'blah blah' branded on the advert at 0:54 seconds the focus turn to Pogba who scores a goal. This is the point we move to the second section of the video, this section now focus's on first or 1st and of course as the focal point Pogba is responsible for the first first.

4/ Now at 1:03 we have another player score a goal (not sure who that is) and again we have the message 1st (first) appear and guess which fans are supporting and at which venue, well yeah its us at Old Trafford, we are celebrating!

5/ Then at 1.19 we have a Mr Mourinho, with the words first right next to his head and he is making a schuush gesture

6/ and right at the end 1:37 we have the man of the moment, again reiterating the word first (first never follows)

Once we take into account all the other Manchester Utd references in the advert, it is IMHO clear as night and day where Pogba is going to be playing his football this season!

Subliminal advertising at its best, perfectly choreographed and doing exactly what it was made to do, that is to get people talking.

Muppets im out, Pogba welcome home

:)

Anyone think Raoilas twitter talk is maybe pushed by Adidas for sponsorship money? the Ads for TV aren't done overnight.

Takes a week or so to prepare, shoot, edit.

Fabrizio says will be official next week.

It's as good as done thing now mate. We can enjoy the weekend. No WAY will journos like Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano risk their reputation by consistently saying he's joining Utd.

It's a DONE DEALIO! (Nearly)

They get like 10% and high sales numbers puts them in a strong position for negotiating future kit deals. So it is not true United won't see a cent of that.
Not entirely. "...United don’t even automatically receive the 10-15% industry-standard royalty payment, no doubt because the up-front £75 million annual payment is so large. United’s royalty payment only kicks in once a certain number of shirts are sold".

So yes, we may see 10% like you said, but that's only if we sell a certain number of shirts. Sorry if my initial post was unclear.

Holy feck :lol:I'm at a loss for words (something which you are clearly not).

If we sold enough shirts to cover Pogba fee I'm sure the certain number would kick in as it would be about 16m shirts...and that would obvioulsy have to be in additions to the shirts we would normally sell.

I am not saying that Juve not announcing is disrespectful. What a Juve fan might find disrespectful and annoying is Pogba signing MUFC shirts without the deal having been confirmed by either club.
Ok but isn't that a problem the fans would have with the player and not the club? If anything surely by that logic Juve would want Pogba to continue signing United related stuff and not announce Pogba is off, as it'll make it easier to break it to the fans (who are supposedly annoyed at Pogba for signing the shirts).

Yeah my bad. Had a brain fart there.

Agreed.
It seems that Pogba is telling/showing everybody that he is now a MUFC player, yet the clubs are saying otherwise.
I'd be little miffed if one of our players (eg. DDG), was going around signing Madrid shirts, while still being on our books.

The clubs aren't saying otherwise, the clubs are saying nothing. And he won't be on Juventus' books much longer because the documents will all be signed soon.

SOMEBODY RING THE NUMBER FOR GOD SAKE!

I've emailed Claudio Albanese.. Just waiting for his response now.

I am beginning to think this, too.
It almost seems like Riaolo, Pogba and Adidas are all in cahoots. I am assuming that some money has changed hands for this advertising campaign and it's working beautifully.

Sensational
Especially number 2), Pogbas first club was Le Havre. Why would they refer to his first club as United if they were being so keen with these bloody subliminal messages.

Not at all convinced this strengthens our squad more than other uses of the money we're paying but I think it strengthens our club more.

Brand needs a big name. Wayne's not been performing and may never again, Zlatan won't be around very long, Martial's not there yet and as good as De Gea is goalkeepers don't excite commercial partners. Pogba was a very big name already and we're making him a much bigger one now. He'll make us a lot of money.
