The dreaded 'looks really good on paper' team.

Indeed.
I've seen it so many times: "This team is good enough to win the title". "We should win the title with this team".
Then we finish 5th.

The last game we played, we got beat pretty badly, by Dortmund. That same Dortmund were held to a draw by MCFC (MCFC won on pens).
I want to see what we can actually do on the pitch, with those "names".

Smalling, Pogba and maybe Fabinho would make that team title challenging.

People raving about Smalling: I saw plenty of games with him in the team last season, which we lost, so I doubt he'd make a huge difference. Our defence was pretty bad last season, despite the stats. DDG is the main man in defence. If he doesn't play, then I'd be worried. Smalling is not a player who can win us a match.

The 3 positives for me: DDG, Ibrahimovic and Mourinho. These are the sort of men who can win us matches/titles.

Well chuffed with that team.

Whenever I search for HD rivers, I only get those crappy ones with loads of crap all over the screen and where you can't make the viewing pane any bigger.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Someone earlier said something about a good Reddit page with links on but I can't find the post.

Rooney at #10...

some things will never change /tupac

But in this team, the creativity is not dependent on Rooney alone, He's more like a second striker here. Pogba replacing Herrera also increase our creativity.

God I love that line-up, just needs Pogba for Herrera and it's so clutch.

'Sneijder linked with United' ahoy.

Smalling had a very good season last year and was one of a very few ray of lights in an otherwise dark season. There were not many centre halfs in the league that out performed him. If he keeps with the same rate of improvement this season we will have a rock of a centre half (and English to boot). it is more his partner or lack of one that I am worried about. (Rojo dreadful) (Jones thick and injury prone) (Blind good player but suspect in defence) Bailey fingers crossed as not saw him as yet.

Amazing how Ibra is older than Bojan Djordic, who has been out of European football for 4 years.

Pogba will wander down the tunnel half way through the game.

Can you imagine if this happens!!!
The problem is that the game has not been advertised enough, for it to be worthwhile Pogba making his first appearance.

You have seen us finish fifth one time, and no one thought we'd be anywhere close to the title last year. feck off.

I'm very excited but, unlike pretty much everyone it seems, I'm not convinced that team is good enough to challenge on all fronts even with Smalling back and Pogba coming in for Herrera. My biggest concern is having Mkhi on the right with a Rooney or Mata as the #10. If Rooney performs as well as he did as the #8 at the end of last season then I think it could work, but nothing is for certain where Wayne's concerned. It seems the further forward he plays, the more drunk he becomes.

Nevertheless, the making of a nice team is looking potentially there.
It's going to be like Hulk Hogan being the third man in the nWo, Pogba will wander down the tunnel half way through the game.
Well, signing for United does seem to be the biggest heel move a footballer can make nowadays; akin to Hogan discarding the red & blue for the black & white :D

MUTV cheesy adverts department already in top form based on that Diablo chessefest :D

Well he was at Disneyland California this morning so he'll have to get his skates on to make Sweden by half-time.
