I don't get this. How many people watch Dortmund play? His second pre season game and you guys are already saying his is ineffective. I guess Thomas tuchel must have been pretty fecking stupid.

Yeah. It's a bit of a mess, too many players haven't played enough pre season games. We haven't played enough games in general. The Euros have really fecked shit up.
Slightly concerned about how we will start the season.

Wait, people are seriously judging how we'll do this season on these games?

Suggest drinking a couple of beers and chilling out.

The LvG nostalgia was a joke ffs

Anyway, Schneiderlin-Herrera doesn't seem to be a great combination. It's better if the strategy is to press and create through a proper 10, but Rooney isn't that player, and Zlatan isn't the striker for that. So we need someone to pass out from the back, and Carrick is our guy for that. An alternate for the Morgan-Ander combo would be Zlatan as the second stiker/10, and Rashford up top. Zlatan's link-up has been fantastic, his pace terrible.

Shaw is very badly off the pace, keeps getting caught out by a single feint or pass. Could just be fitness but is worrying.

Mkhi is invisible, should he be pushed to #10 with (horror) Mata back at RW?

I can't believe this random fella doesn't like drums. Scumbag!

I like Ander but at this point he is just a placeholder for Pog. What a bland first half from him. As for Rooney if he keeps this up hard to see how he can stay in the XI.
I hope Jose takes them off and brings on Mata and Carrick

I'm not worried because I'm confident Mourinho will quickly work out who is shit and who isn't.

If fellaini comes on as a number ten ahead of mata it's mind-boggling.

Some preseason decisions mourinho is making/is rumoured to make with players is quite concerning.

Play Jesse at RW, Mata at 10 and Carrick at Dm and you will see amassive improvement in the team.

I know its not fashionable to give LvG credit but we played well in his last 3 months.

Bailly is doing well but he needs gradual intergration, the way he hesitated to press for the 2nd goal shows he still needs time to adapt. Smalling and Blind/Jones should start the season

Pastore? Thats a name I havent heard of for a long time. Rashford can play on the right, true.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd love Pastore here as having him as our #10 would mean he'd be rotating with Mkhi a lot giving us a much more cohesive unit. Plus, he's one of the most creative passers in world football. I love him :)

That was pretty funny then on MUTV -
"it looks like Fellaini is coming on, what qualities does he bring to the team?"
"......er......"

Our preparation has been shambolic. Not even 3 games played, loads of traveling, players back late due to the Euro.

These games are meaningless, but JoMo should devise a plan to get points while playing badly coming into the season. We need to keep pace before reaching our peak if we want to be in the race.

You need to relax.

Thought Schneiders was supposed to be the chosen one??

I think people are hitting the panic button a bit prematurely. There will be more changes in the line-up before the window closes. I've always been amazed by how people were happy with the mediocrity we've been carrying for the last few years.
Not if you ask me, he is not a destroyer. Not panicking, it's just a frustrating problem that has existed since Fletcher-Carrick had their moments.

Not surprised to see people having a meltdown over a preseason game, when will people learn?

With LVG as manager we seemed to have a great preseason and then when the league kicked off we were terrible.

It's obvious the new players need some time to gel together, and the whole team needs to build its match fitness, I'm not worried at all about this game.

I am frustrated to see players getting playing time now that shouldn't have a future at the club though, like Fellaini.
