Funny how we have a transfer saga that drags on and on every year, yet other clubs quietly get on with signing their targets. We are either jinxed or incompetent.

I can't see Pogba being announced today because of Rooney's testimonial so it is likely to be Thursday or early next week after the Community Shield match.

We have a player, involved with 2 clubs and nobody is saying anything. This is the sort of thing which happens when a player is not leaving or the player/clubs are not sure.
If/when a player is leaving, he usually starts singing the praises of the new club he wants to move to, which he hasn't.
Also, the continuous "he will sign in x hours", which is tweeted almost everyday is getting tiresome.
Bale had a long (World Record) transfer saga, but he made it absolutely clear that he wanted to move. It was made clear that Bale wanted to leave Spurs. And that Spurs were happy to sell for the right price.
This has not been case with Pogba.
On the other side of the argument we have Di Marzio saying that the deal is done.
We also know that Pogba has been signing MUFC jerseys.
The rumour was that he would sign last Friday. Many muppets swore blind to this time table, laid down by a journalist. Once the deadlilne passed, the same muppets started interpretting the same tweet in a different way, to suit their hypothesis.
Personally, I think there is a more than 50% chance that Pogba will come to MUFC (there is too much smoke/noise about that move), but the player is not signed and like we saw with DDG, last minute hitches can put an end to a transfer.
The deal was to be done last Friday, for all we know it was and just not announced publicly.
These two guys asked him on video if he was going to stay and he said "yes" in the most sheepish way imaginable!

Pogba isn't singing praises proves nothing. The fact is this is 'new' territory for United. Last summer when we were linked to Ramos, he did speak out but we didn't commit to countering Madrids bluff. A player won't always come out and say anything just incase the deal doesn't materialize. In addition, Zlatan knew where he was going a bit before he told us - but he wanted the drama. So he asked his agent and his agent did his job. Also the X amount of hours is bullshit so just ignore it. I'm pretty confident based on a few things but this is a transfer in and of itself. Doubts fine but everything has to be judged on it's own merits. United seem committed to this deal, it is a lot easier to complete then someone like Neymar and no doubt Jose will be in touch with Pogba on a regular basis.
Except the Vidal saga was the exact opposite, Marotta couldn't shut up for more than 24 hours without saying there was no deal and journo's like di marzio weren't reporting it lik it's merely a matter of when not if.
The only reliable source on this transfer (Di Marzio) said from monday it could be any day, Amoyal said last night that it would be "this week". It's the hype merchants like SKY and Telegraph that keep saying this BS.
Unless we have a fax stuff up, i think Pogba will be coming
Remember, the only reason we have De Gea is that the stuff up meant the deadline passed. De Gea was SECONDS away from actually leaving.God, the rate at which this is going I expect the next headline will be "Man Utd interested in signing Pogba" then the cycle will repeat ad naseum.
That doesn't make sense. Why would that happen? If people don't get daily updates they just start talking utter crap. There's no news as nothing is going to happen till he's back from his holiday.
