Luckhurst and MEN are claiming it's done and the announcement is all thats left.



I looked at their "live feed" and they aren't using the castles story, they seem to be claiming it themselves. Not the best source but it's adding to the chorus of "done deal" posts coming out.
 
Perhaps those 48 hours have passed then... they were closer to 480 hours. But what the hell... I'm glad it's over soon

Surely if Pogba is in Manchester, at least one person would have taken a photo of him at JFK or Manchester Airport?

He's still in NYC ffs!
 
I wonder if we'll give the whole 'presentation of the new signing at the stadium' thing a go? If there's ever a time to try it...

Castles has been a Mendes/Jose mouth piece for the last couple of years. He knew exactly who we were targetting in this last window. Claimed Jose wanted 4 new players and a new "spine" through the team. He's been told it's a done deal; I believe him.

that's fine. His snide/back-hand comments about MUFC in the past always make me cautious about his comments. But like i said, the chorus of "done deal" posts is getting louder. ;)
 
Little Poggy posted a video of himself doing kickboxing or MMA or whatever two hours ago on Instagram. Probably at least from last night British time given the time difference, but I doubt he's left NYC yet. As someone stated, a photo of him at the JFK would likely have been snapped if he had left. Unless of course it's all done in secrecy :drool:
Just give us the bloody announcement!

I knew that too.
Jose stated this repeatedly in every interview he gave.
And with regards to him being ITK - he is repeating what every other journalist has stated.
I trust the ITK in this thread more than Luckhurst.

Yeah, a bit lazy, Sky. They have lost their touch on doing exclusive/breaking stories. But "no private jets in Manchester today" clearly explains the helicopter. He took a private jet from NYC to London and then the chopper from London to Manchester.

I'll get my coat.... for now.

We tend to fly our new signings using chartered private jets though. I can easily see him not being seen travelling.

I still think he's in NYC though. Everyone seems to be saying that he'll fly on Saturday

Not to feed hope of any imminent arrival but people that relate social media posts to immediately recent activity of that person are shortsighted to say the least. Pogba could be anywhere in the world right now.

Exactly. At least we'll see no more of Noble carrying our players off the field. And to be fair, Poggy does actually seem pretty decent at the kickboxing stuff. Hope he's not announcing a change of career.
 
I actually trust MEN sometimes, I feel sometimes they can be accurate as a Manchester outlet but the saga is really starting to drag.

With the Telegraph claiming their sources say the deal is to be done later today will it mean @Carl will have to serve some humble pie to a few?

I can't believe he'll be put straight into the squad at the weekend? Im guessing medical on Saturday along with the confirmation and press photos. Watch the game from the stands at Wembley and then slowly intergrated into the first team once he has his fitness back by end of August :D
 
So are we now thinking that Pogba has been secretly flown into Manchester (bypassing the flight track specialists) and has possibly already had his medical too?
 
If I was leaving a club I wouldn't publicly announce I'm leaving to a random guy on the street.

"Are you leaving Juventus?" "No", "Are you staying at Juventus?" "Yes"

You can't exactly reveal you're leaving your current club when you haven't yet had a medical.
 
But didn't his instargam post today have him still kickboxing in NYC?

That's because everyone was distracted by the Schweinsteiger deal, we could theoretically do the same with another player as everyone is focused on Pogba.

I didn't say it wasn't happening today, I said a helicopter at OT has nothing to do with whether it is or isn't.
