It's the mad world of the anti-muppet

I think and hope he will sign.

But surely any muppet can see that something doesn't add up.

1st it was the zlatan game then rooney that delayed announcement. Then paperwork and the holiday...

We are told the deal is done yet overlook the fact the guy from BBC said it wasn't.

Still nothing official and his holiday ends tomorrow.

All I would say is be prepared if there's a twist.

This is not a dig, just what I find a funny observation: Do you remember post #3 in this thread? Love how it all turned out like this though:devil:

I never thought it was going to happen at that time to be fair  seemed like pure fantasy.

By early June it was looking pretty bloody obvious though in my opinion.

- Our manager drops huge hints that Pogba is done and will be announced in the coming days.

- Caf: "Until it's announced, there's nothing to get excited about."

- Juventus player, Paul Pogba, posts a picture of himself on Instagram giving a Juventus shirt to Drake.

- Caf: "It's not happening, I fecking knew it, he's a prick. Lingard's better at dabbing anyway."

:nervous::lol:

Lingaard IS the better dabber!

You never know. Jose might be unveiling fecking Matuidi for all we know:nervous:

I'm not even remotely prepared because you'd have to be off your rocker to not see that it's simply a matter of time.

The only twist is in LvG's ass when he sees us playing

I'm so happy, honestly just keep smiling at the thought of him playing for us and us breaking the world record fee.

All those hours spent watching him in the Academy and reserves etc will now have been all worth it

No idea why people see Pogba gifting his Juve jersey as a negative. It is not like he is going to need them now. Better gift it to someone that throw away, right?

He's gone to Real... :nervous:

Or maybe a) Agent's fee b) New world transfer record and c) he's on vacation after a busy summer with France going all the way to the Euro finals has something to do with it.

Yeah... thats not happening. We'd have known if we were going for Matuidi.
Then again, we might get Pogba and Matuidi

Wouldn't make sense to me. Should be one or the other, as both are box to box players. What we need to prioritise is a holding midfielder. If not this season, then definitely next season.

So the BBC is more reliable that Mourinho himself? Damn, so when United announce a transfer, we shouldn't believe it until the BBC have announced it?
Just listen to Jose's quotes today, it all but confirms that Pogba is on his way, coupled with the fact that a few members of our team are following him on twitter too, it just adds up.
Nothing at all would be made official or announced until he was off his holiday, we rarely announce a fee agreed pending a medical. We usually just announce when signed.

Mourinho announcing the signing today felt very anti climatic - the most mourinho esque announcement ever.

Isn't Pogba giving him last season's kit anyway?

Honestly I have a hard time believing any news story that comes out now. I feel any supposed leak gets less accurate the closer it gets to the transfer being completed.

Reason being is that clubs will start being more tight-lipped when a player is close to signing.

Just try to relax be patient and let it play out now.

Mourinho says we're gonna sign a very good midfielder...

We're gonna sign John Obi Mikel aren't we

Jose said we'll get a very good midfielder. That's already good enough for me, whether it's Pogba or not

Have to give it to pessimists. They are persistent and wont let go till the last second. Fair play.

Posters who are writing its boring though...

It's last seasons 3rd shirt...

As you were.

Pretty much confirmed pretty much done ...

Neither of those statements mean it's done though which is the problem here. People can say pretty much this pretty much that as many times as they want .. Until it's announced and he has signed the contract and holding the shirt it isn't done and at this moment in time that's nowhere near happening..

Now we are down to Aug 14th no doubt after that we will still be here and the same people saying Aug 31,

I also think it's done, but I bet Real fans were equally convinced they had a shiny new keeper last year too. So, odd things happen sometimes. Go get them

And you know this how?
Do you have some inside information on either United or Juve's end that says it's no way near happening? For all we know the deal is done pending Pogba signing. United rarely announce they've agreed a fee with another club pending a medical. At least, they've not done it in a while. You could say Juve might announce that we've agreed a fee, but they don't have too if they don't want too. They could announce that Pogba is leaving shortly before we announce he's signed. We'll just have to see what order it's done

I'm expecting Howard Nurse to tweet this weekend saying his source confirmed United have no interest in Pogba.

We did sign Mata pending a medical and announced it.

Van Persie was another one we announced pending a medical.

Pogba £100M
Gundogan £20M

We are awful at transfer fees, buying and selling, since Woodward was appointed
Pogba is a much better player than Gundogan and will be fit for twice as many games easily.

He's no Guthrie or Norwood but still a tidy player.

Some people are obtuse for the heck of it. But as for the pending medical thingy, that has been done plenty of times by United. And was heavily discussed in this thread iirc.
