I would call it 'crossing the Ts'. They probably want to sign their player up before letting Pogba go. Jose did say he wanted all this tied up before the first league match. Or at least I thought I heard that.

I'm sure this is going through. Most likely Thursday we will see him here.

The man thinks Rooney is a specialist on the 10 and one of the best player in the world. It is so hard to imagine he would sign Matuidi and call him a top midfielder ?
 
People will never learn it seems. Simple truth here is that until it's done it's not done.

And with Allegris comments today it seems we are still a bit away off from an agreement with Juve.

No point in painting people as "the negative camp" when really all they are is the realistic camp

Football has a habit of turning extremely quickly....

Is that the advert which has a poster of MUFC?
If so, that means nothing. It could mean that he once he played for MUFC. And that's in his past.
Also, MUFC are sponsored by Adidas, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Juve player, being in advert, while walking past a poster of MUFC.

The problem is that a lot of muppets read too much into adverts...but then that's what Adidas wants. They want muppets to watch an advert 100 times and it is the ad agency's job to create the advert which entices people to do exactly that.

Couple that with the whole 'don't believe everything you read in the papers' and Raiola's twitter rants about journalists and this could all be a load of shit.

The Sneijder and Vidal sagas were very similar and i called bullshit throughout because it became apparent that the media were creating a saga to keep us coming back for more. Adding more fuel to the fire each day. I thought this was different but I'm starting to think I've fallen for the same shit too.

He is expected back on training at Juve, both clubs nor player nor his agent have said anything about the move, nor has the BBC, the most reliable source that has reported it as done has been Di Marzio and he has been wrong before.

Do you not think if we wanted Matuidi we'd have him by now? Why would we be wasting time on Pogba when we would have gotten Matuidi ages ago and given him a bit of a pre-season with us.
He'd have been a lot easier to get, and we likely could have gotten him around the same time as the others

Di Marzio has followed this up by reporting about Juve lawyers meeting at their HQ to sign off on all of the documents and get them to the Juve directors to sign, which is a long and complex process due to the size of the fee and the multitude of additional clauses/payments/rights.

The weight of evidence suggests this is in its very final stages, and he will be heading to Manchester this weekend.

We literally have no rivals to beat for his signature, we have the money, neither clubs have denied anything, most journos have already said that everything is done and is merely waiting for announcement after his return (Italian media isn't even doubting the transfer)

Look back at what he said about Mkhitaryan in his first press conference. He confirmed the transfer even though nothing was official.

Yesterday he said that Pogba is a Juve player. That he hoped to get our business done before the start of the season but he was not sure if it would be our first choice player or one of the other 2.

He was no where near as sure yesterday that we would get Pogba as he was that we 'had' signed Mkhi. He was fairly confident that one of our targets would be here by next weekend.

Willian was undergoing his Spurs medical when Chelsea hijacked the deal.

This deal is 95% certain to be done but until pen is put to paper, he's still a Juve player.

I'm sure that the club has a responsibility to shareholders etc to announce a £100m expenditure. If it's a done deal then we would surely have to announce it. If not, Juve themselves would.

It might not be Matuidi. Either way, there are negotiations in any deal. Just because it's not a £100m deal for Pogba, doesn't mean we'd sign one of the other targets over night.

Mourinho has requested that the announcement comes just before the charity shield game in order to improve the atmosphere and increase the chances of getting off to a good start?

The man will take whatever edge is available to him, he's a true winner.

This. And that's why I think it's annoying that people are getting bashed, ridiculed and called "bet wetters" for doubting that the transfer goes through. Although I will admit that some a maybe a bit too paranoid for stupid reasons such as signed footballs and shirts.

And to all the people constantly referring to Van Gaal's press conference regarding Di Maria. Don't forget that he openly stated that things were going on between De Gea and Real Madrid last year too. He even benched him due to the Madrid link. No reason why Allegri couldn't say something like that if the deal was in fact 99,999% done.

The chances that happening are little to nothing. Juve are willing to sell, Pogba willing to move and we are willing to pay. It's pretty straightforward. Juve even spent a huge amount on transfers keeping this transfer income in mind

We are negotiating with Juve for Pogba but no agreement. Journos actually know shit all about the details and report whatever gives them the most clicks at that time

What would investors do with knowing this? Afaik, No company informs it's day to day operations with shareholders irrespective of the size of the transaction.

I'm sure we could have asked juve to hold off on announcing. We probably want to milk the whole event announcing it with Pogba holding a United shirt like we did with di Maria. La stampa has reported that he wouldn't return to Italy anyway.

Because drafting a contract is a huge job in itself. And we probably want to announce it with a picture Pogba signing it. Instead of announcing that a deal is agreed and then later the pictures.
