Regarding immigrants 6500 asylum seeker were saved by the Italians in just 1 day. Those who want control over the borders can you please tell us what should they do with them? Should they send them back to Libya? Should Italy foot the bill (financial, cultural etc) of endless hordes of immigrants itself despite lacking the financial support or the job opportunities to integrate them successfully?

Eh? I know plenty of 18-30 year old's who have travelled to other parts of Europe to work. Likewise I know many Europeans who've travelled to my country to work. I'm not talking about a permanent, lifelong career here.
My last boss in Malta was British. It was hilarious as he was far less qualified then we were and was brought in pretty much because of his experience in the field. He had since moved on to Germany to become head of the department in the parent company. I am aware that he brought his own mates from the UK to work in Malta one of whom took his role.
There's alot of Brits living in mainland Europe. Most aren't even working as they are old. They live off on their pensions and they enjoy their rights as EU citizens by tapping in someone elses NHS (without ever working there). I wonder how the NHS will fare if thousands of British elderly people will return at one go especially since the NHS rely heavily on European immigrants to function and those may end up leaving.

To be honest it was never a credible leftist reason to support Brexit unless you're talking about loony leftist conspiracy theory that banged on about this impending top secret trade deal that would see the NHS privatised and the UK concreted over to form a car park etc. Most of us said all along that we were safer within the EU bloc once the details of TTIP become apparent as the power of veto by every member state should enable every tricky clause to be straightened out. Let's face it, TTIP agreement was never likely to be plain sailing, not when the US seems to think the EU unfairly bullies the likes of poor old Apple, Starbucks, Amazon and Google by expecting them to pay the same taxes as every other bugger doing business in that country and not while you've got US pharmaceutical firms like Mylar gouging vulnerable customers because capitalism's so great, The EU were always likely to stall on those sort of issues and might have even started looking at the likes of Apple for human rights infringements in their employment conditions overseas. Outside the EU the chances of David Davies or Boris not just rolling over and signing the first draft of the US trade agreement handed to them is almost nil.

Despite all the crap in Europe, non of it is the EU's fault, no growth, high unemployment, it's not their fault but doesn't make me dislike the EU zone and the leaders in it any less.

Jeez are you reading my posts? I have been criticising the EU inability to get past bureaucracy and for not being closer to the people and understand their concerns. However its also ridiculous to blame decades of irresponsible spending, bad management and corruption on the EU. Take Italy as an example. In the past 25 years they had communists, mafia people and a womaniser who cant keep it in his pants and who had spent his entire political life changing the law to avoid ending into prison as PMs. Currently Italy's PM is Matteo Renzi who speaks and acts like a 5 year old. His opponents are a washed up comedian and some university drop-out who dreams to move borders to the medieval ages and hopes he gets the vote of the same Southern people he loved to insult to achieve his goals. Political scandals occur with such regularity that they barely makes the news anymore. Is it the EU fault that Italians keeps picking the wrong people? Should the other EU countries carry the burden of Greece/Italy feck ups with no questions asked?

I am focusing on Italy because its the country I know the most. However I suspect that Greece is quite the same
a- bad leaders who buy their way to parliament through generous welfare programmes that the country simply cant afford
b- a huge tax evasion problem
c- a high level of corruption.
That can never be tackled by the EU unless its given more and more administrative powers. That's something which would be unfair towards countries who are actually administered well
The EU is far from perfect. However there are a number of countries who are thriving in the EU including the UK, Germany, countries in Scandinavia, Malta, Ireland, Poland etc. If its all the EU fault then why do some succeed while other fail?
Id wish to see an EU with some teeth. If a country keeps failing targets without taking any tangible action to correct such mistakes then it should be kicked out. If a country votes for EU exit the EU should be allowed to kick it out. If a country fail to show solidarity by taking a fair share of asylum seekers then the freedom of movement of its own citizens should be severely restricted. I am all in favour in helping countries in need because we're in it together. However being part of the EU should be a privilege not a way of scamming the rest of Europe through dumping people who cant find work in their own country and getting bail outs.
Well lets not forget how badly Ireland failed a few years ago. It's bailing out all these countries that I also find unforgivable and if you let a few of them go under then you'd see how well Germany is doing. It's keeping a project alive for keeping it alive's sake. If it were a business project it would have been scrapped long ago.
A second referendum on a draft deal might be sensible, but not sure if May would go down that route.

Ireland's failing wasn't down to the EU. Actually the EU helped the country to get back on its feet. Why is Ireland capable of doing that but Greece cannot?
If a country can't be saved than it shouldn't be given any bailouts. However irresponsible countries should also be kicked out of the EU if they keep transgressing.

Re the interest/tax changes it hits the high rate tax payers the most. If you are a 40% payer you pay 40% on the whole rental income but get 20% of the interest deducted. So there are loopholes to soften the impact such as setting up a Ltd company or putting the property in my wife's name as she is only basic rate tax payer.
I read a good article on this in the FT alphaville blog - will see if i can find it. Basically it was saying that with recent price rises and tax changes there is no yield.
