Have you seen the Vice documentary on Corbyn? It is like a mocumentary comedy. At one point one of his aides excitedly says 'George Eaton has just tweeted that was Jeremy's best performance in PMQs', and aide two says 'yeah but George Eaton knows like nothing about anything'.
There are many unintended comedic moments like that.
Well he discussed the split in the conference so i think he was well aware of that.
It is all a bit odd i can only think they were trying to make a very poorly executed point about splits.

Notably Angus Robertson did a good job for the SNP, putting it to May as to whether we'd remain in the single market or not. She had to slime her way out of giving an actual answer.
I can't stand the constant need for jibes from the Tories to distract from any actual issues, but irrespective of that Corbyn is terrible at handling it.

As for the 'jokes' at PMQ I hate them as well, it seemed this week Mays delivery was closer to McBaine from the Simpson than Lenny Bruce . And as you said Corbyn is just awful at handling them, he does the whole moral high ground reaction which is just as annoying.

Corbyn's delivery from the dispatch box is atrocious. When you should be giving the government a James O'Brien style grilling he stumbles and stutters and dithers. On the plus side May is awful as well. Leaving aside the jokes she actually boasted that she doesn't want to see government provided housing.
Get Owen Smith in. The very least an opposition leader should be doing from the PMQs dispatch box is suggesting their opponent is only there because she's a woman.

So Smith is criticising Corbyn for accepting Brexit at any cost. So is he setting a threshold of costs at which he won't implement it? Is single market membership a line in the sand? If we don't stay a member he will block Brexit? Or just block it so a second referendum can be held once the post-Brexit deal is clear? (And of course the deal won't be clear until we have actually left, so such a referendum is impossible).

Part of the outrage is simply because it's Red Ken.
There's also a bizarre war on facts led by people who would prefer an uncritical general public.
I don't want to start a debate about the history of Zionism here, but surely the bigger issue is the context in which he raised his comments? Given Naz Shah's suspension of the whip and subsequent apology, he wades into the issue in a tone deaf manner, further exacerbating tensions at a period where anti-Semitism in the Labour Party is finally getting the attention and focus from the Party it needs.
Yeah, it wasn't smart or politically astute, but it is nevertheless a verifiable and uncontroversial truth. Livingstone was foolish and naive, but not wrong.

That's fair enough, but I can cite historical records and academic journals which very easily demonstrate the veracity of his claims.

Not exactly surprising turn of events. Turns out Corbyn was probably even less than 7.5/10 for Remain.
However the response to it is bizarre. The public voted for Brexit in the knowledge (well probably not, but in theory) that it might entail the end of tariff free access to the single market. I've seen numerous 'centrist' Labour supporters (there's loads on Reddit) talking about this being a real line in the sand. That Labour MUST defend full single market membership. Owen Smith expressed a similar sentiment. I mean that essentially amounts to commiting the party to a position that might entail ignoring the referendum result. The obvious fudge is EEA membership or something similar - but that is clearly a betrayal of the result wrt immigration.
In some ways I wish we had more political figures willing to do that, but you are not going to win back votes from UKIP and the Tories on such a platform. Which is precisely what the centrists (rightly) accuse Corbyn of being incapable of
What's the perception on here regarding Corbyn's portrayal in mainstream media? What do most people here think his policies are? Are people on here aware of the purge of mostly Corbyn supporters from voting in the leadership election? I'm wondering if people here are more representative of the general public than those I typically interact with.
I didn't see this so I will take your word for it but given the SNP wants to leave but hasn't decided whether to hold a referendum on leaving, the UK single market, there are levels of irony here.
Also listening to the SNP guy on radio 4 castigating Brexit for not having a plan for Brexit and citing the 600 page report the SNP drew up before the independence referendum without any mention of the fact that it was completely wrong and had the Scottish people voted on it they would now be 15 billion pounds into the financial hole it would have dug for them. Is it better to produce 600 pages of misleading bullshit or to produce nothing at all?

Strange response since I was going on about how they did well regarding one question.
Anyway, certain plans regarding independence were a bit flawed but at least those plans and a general outline existed. Brexit has nothing; no vision; no idea as to what sort of UK we want to be. The SNP on Wednesday highlighted that in a stronger manner than Corbyn's Labour did. That's all.
