There's not many 18 year old's better than him. Not to forget he only made his professional debut in February. Safe to say he is one of the brightest prospects in the world.

You are entitled to rate your own players as you feel fit. I think he is an exciting talent for sure and if he was a Liverpool player I would be really excited about him.

But point is buying players. When ManUtd don't have players they buy, when Liverpool don't have players they spend. This is the same club that spent 35 Million pounds on Carroll and 32 Million on Benteke.

It's not like you don't spend the same money elsewhere on other players, they're just 'lesser' players.

Liverpool have wasted millions in the transfer market but thankfully under Klopp it looks like that is going to stop.
We also do not have the money the likes of United have so we have to be better in the market and use the money more wisely. Which we clearly haven't always done.
We cannot afford to waste £60m or so like United can on the likes of Di Maria or buy back one of our youth products for £90m plus!

Also check the transfer tables over the last five years, you are just as bad as us. Spending £60m on Di Maria and recouping most or spending above £60m on trainwrecks like Benteke and Carrol combined really isn't different. Our flops are just more high profile than yours.
Btw, we are still waiting on the list of the more talented and influental 18 years than Rashford. You have conveniently dodged that one. Just for shit and giggles you can include up to 20 year olds.
Yes, you grew his cost to you to world-record level. The point of an academy is to save money by developing talent rather than have to spend big to get it back again.

Liverpool on the whole have been wasting money on average players for years. Klopp has managed to get the best out of what are still some pretty average players. Henderson, Lallana, Lovren, Milner, Clyne etc.
Fergie did that in spells at United.

Certain rules apply to Liverpool transfers. If they sign Mane for £33m and sell the Welsh Xavi for £14m then that means that Mane cost £19m. Wages doesn't ever come into play.

You forgot the bit where United players shop at Waitrose and Liverpool's at Aldi - you have to add on a few quid for that too.

Doubt the score would have been much different.That's very harsh on Wijnaldum considering he's been a Liverpool player for a couple of months. I'd also say Lallana and Lovren have improved enough to not include them on that list.
Henderson is a weird one. I suppose it depends if you think we've got enough out of him to justify a £16 million fee. I suppose that was considered high back in 2011.
I can't really argue with the rest. We've had a nightmare with midfielders since Alonso and Mascherano left.

Allen, Benteke, Borini we sold for just under what we paid for them. Ilori and Aspas not exactly superstars but not financial disasters either.

I am sure Rashford is one of the brightest prospect in the world! Just like Martial was last year. And Januzaj the year before. And Welbeck before that. And lets not forget how bright Nani and Anderson were at the time..
Martial still is one of the biggest prospects in the world, he's 20 years old and going through a bad patch as all young players do. Sterling is another example of that.
Rashford is one of the brightest prospects in the world. If you claim otherwise you are deluded.

Januzaj was never hailed as a WC prospect, neither was Welbeck. Anderson in his first season and Nani in glimpses showed great promise, didn't pan out that way though.
I find it funny that a fanbase consisting of people that were quick to hail Divock Origami as a second coming of christ after his microscopic golden spell a little while back claims that we are overreacting in calling Rashford a WC prospect. Every sane person on Earth calls Rashford a WC prospect, this naturally excludes most Liverpool and City supporters.
If a 18 year old Rashford isn't a WC prospect then I would like you to list me ten 18 year olds who is brighter prospects. There needs to be atleast 10 ahead of Rashford aged the same to exclude him from the WC talent bracket. I am waiting in excitement, the other Liverpool guy did a Houdini and disappeared when I asked him to do the same.
