He's runs a radio show on satellite radio out of California. Claims to have a few contacts at the club. Comes in handy during transfers season but not so much once the regular season starts.
Well, as a start the myth that he was player of the year in the Bundesliga is annoyingly persistent just like it was with Kagawa. Doesn't matter how often someone posts that they really weren't.
Certainly makes sense, but it's worrying why Jose would even green light him when he MUST have known his personality. It's been well documented he's a slow starter and a bit of a shy chap.
Then again nobody thought he would drop Rooney either, so perhaps Jose really is just easing him in? I can't see why he would starter him against City if he didnt trust him (unless he just wanted to throw him under the bus)
Why would that be the case? We've had some difficult characters at OT who needed to be handled with care which include Cantona and Ronaldo (he needed a father figure). Did you know, that as a kid, Roy Keane had sent an application to all major clubs but to us? He believed that he wasn't good enough to play with a club like ours.

No. The point is: can Mourinho handle him/such players and get the best out of him? If not, why United bought him considering everything is known about Micki. Whats the point of all that? It was obvious and known for everyone, you dont had to be a IDK to know what leaded Micki to his sensationel performances last year: the enviroment at Dortmund with a coach who had a connection to him. If i buy this guy then i have to know how i could get the best out of him and all the circumstances. But it seems that there was another senseless buy in the transferhistory of United or there is just no coordination between the guys in the club who decide who to buy and the coach or i dont know. The other side of the coin is a suprisingly stupid Micki who throws away an enviroment and a coach who brings him to shine and who gets the best out of him (at least after 2 years of ups and downs) to play in club who has no CL and who has a new coach known as rough and motivate and handle his players in a totaly different ways then he needs.
After all, another time like in the past with Kagawa we say thanks for the money and good luck with the player. But for United thats leaves some questions again. I adored his perfomances and his style but was shocked like @Crossie said above about his refusal to take the penalty at the cup final, a top player like him has simply to do that and at the latest decide to shoot if he sees that our never shooting CBs have to shoot. We need other players to take the next step.
Surely we just need to play him in some of the easier games and let him acclimatise. He certainly isn't going to do it not playing.

Well we dont have much else to assume, not including him plus his recent history for being mentally weak is there to see.
Mkhitaryan needs a Manager who makes him feel special & keeps close to him.
It didn't work under Klopp - Tuchel made him feel unique (told him he was the most gifted player he had seen & the best at Dortmund), that's why he played an incredible last season.

Yeah that should sort his mental weakness.
It's obviously up to the manager to get the player to perform. If this involves not playing him until he thinks he's ready then so be it. After having such a shocker on his debut it's not the worst thing in the world to keep him out of the spotlight since. He'll have to get thrown back in at some point, though.
I admire Mkhitaryan for his football ability but if rumours are true then he's mentally weak and probably won't cut it here because of that. Hopefully it's all just paper talk and Miki get's back in the team and shows what he's capable of.
And let's not forget that Mourinho previously got Di Maria playing the best football of his career. A player that is similarly talented but evidently as mentally fragile as they come.
This is what separates Mourinho from SAF in my opinion. SAF was always aware that some players needed to be treated differently. I highly doubt Mourinho is that kind of guy.
Di Maria played his best football under Ancelotti in 13/14.

Seems that you can get far, if your decisions are right and you are clever enough to play under a coach who gets the best out of you. On the other side its weak politics for a club to spend 45mio € on a player where you know that he needs an special enviroment to shine and then dont take care of this fact.

De Bruyne is for me the best example how Mourinho seem to not being capable of dealing with some sort of players and therefor is not capable of get the best out of some potential, maybe worldclass potential. For me the worst decision you can do if you are young player is to seign at Chelsea, but De Bruyne did. There Mourinho was holding him back for a long time, and didnt allowed de Bruyne to go to Dortmund, telling him storys that he needs him. The end is well known, de Bruyne waited half a year and finally went to Wolfsburg where he immidiately showed his potential. That whole story tells you a lot about Mourinho.

De Bruyne for sure is a wonderful player and a huge talent but when you are chasing a title you cant be allowing players to dictate who is playing by holding the club to ransom. He wasnt playing that well for Chelsea despite many chances and now only after pulling his socks up after getting what he wants is he performing to his standards.

I can believe that. Like i said during the City game, he wasn't just playing bad, he looked...broken. I've never seen a player do it before at this level but he looked like he wanted to get off the pitch after about 20 mins.
I don't think he did get many chances at Chelsea tbf. It's getting harder and harder to bring through youngsters and compete for PL titles though. Ironically, Mourinho is partly responsible by raising the bar - in terms of squad depth - when he was at Chelsea. Which is something Fergie himself eventually struggled with, losing players like Pique and Pogba.
