Shocking capitulation.
Well, not really shocking.
nothing is shocking when wee Davy is involved

I think it's awful. One part of me hope he's sacked before we play them because I fear some of our fans will boo him at Old Trafford and that will be just pathetic if that's the case. He did his best for us but was not the right man.Why hatred though? He never disrespected united. He was in an impossible situation following the previous mgr and his failure in keeping united at the top wasn't really his fault since 2 mgrs since haven't done any better.
Yes it's sad. He had 17 pts after his first 10 games with united. Jose might equal that today. LVG didn't.I think it's awful. It was as much the person he is and the quotes he came out with. His defeatist attitude is one thing, but he also:
- Threw the players under the bus
- Said that even SAF couldn't win with this squad (season before SAF won the PL with them)
- Claimed credit for our seldom victories, but denied responsibility for losses
- Took us back several years, both by being inept and sacking the entire backroom staff
- Whining after getting the sack
- Being Moyes. The dour faced ghoul

Yes another 3 years.Oh we should have kept him then.

Didn't Moyes say something stupid along the lines of ye need to get to our "Citys" level before a derby once. Can't remember exactly what it was but I remember reading it and thinking he should be sacked for that alone.
Possibly the worst comments from a United manager ever.

For what its worth, I think he did well at Everton, got the job of his dreams, was way out of his depth and couldn't cope. Now he's finished. Championship manager in a few years and will never bother the prem again.
I think it is. He did his best here and I hate to see ex players or managers booed exp. Tevez, Heinze who leaves for rival clubs (or wanted to leave to join a rival).Okay then.
It's part of football. Opposition fans/players get booed all the time, so there's nothing pathetic about booing someone who was an absolute failure of a manager yet still refuses to take responsibility for it.

2 points after 10 games. Surely the writing is on the wall and it's only a matter of time now?
This is so misleading. Moyes took over the Champions of England. A team which had always finished in the top 3. Jose didn't. Moyes should have been sacked after the first 10 games itself.Yes it's sad. He had 17 pts after his first 10 games with united. Jose might equal that today. LVG didn't.
"He just needs time"Got to keep him. He will turn things round.

Failing at United was probably the best thing that could have ever happened to the guy. He's made more money in 2 years than he would have made in 15 at Everton and will command even more simply through association. When he's eventually sacked before the end of 2016 he'll have carte blanche selection of a myriad of mid-level jobs because "It was Sunderland, what did people expect?" - it's fecking ridiculous. The murderers row of dullards who continue to make excuses for him in threads like this is a testament to this.
Fergie even told him privately and publicly to keep the backroom staff. This is the worst thing he did. A hugely competent and settled backroom staff assembled over years decimated because he couldn't stomach the thought he hadn't hired them.
It's these kind of things that rock a club more than signing a player here or there or even changing manager. Ducking idiot.
Agreed. It was outrageous hubris, like the Americans dissolving the Iraqi army after they'd pissed the war. Based on what happened next, they also might as well have put Steve Round in charge.Fergie even told him privately and publicly to keep the backroom staff.
He wanted to do it his own way and we all seen the result.
Aren't Sunderland suffering enough?Ryan G/Gary Nev a sneaky shout for the Sunderland job?
Partly blame the club - they should have insisted the staff stays if he wants the job. Giving all that power to someone whose never managed a big club was daft, and we still paying the price for those shit decisions.Fergie even told him privately and publicly to keep the backroom staff.

Well there was no structure to United once Gill and Fergie left. Fergie had complete control and when he stepped down there was nobody other than Moyes to pick up the pieces.Partly blame the club - they should have insisted the staff stays if he wants the job. No doubt about that. "I wasn't allowed to do things my way, that's why we struggled"Moyes would probably still struggle. Then he could blame restrictions on his failure.
He's an excuse making machine. Spineless cnut.
A point that's continually looked over by the "Sympathy for Mr. Moyes" brigade. It's clear the club's post-Fergie infrastructure was inadequate but it was a damn sight better than the vacuum of human excrement that this tornado of wank left in his wake.Fergie even told him privately and publicly to keep the backroom staff.

Incredible for sure. Funny, David Gill seems to come out of the whole thing unscathed, whilst Woodward gets so much abuse for trying to mange and move on from that organisational mess. Even though SAF was larger than life as the manager, as CEO, Gill should have been more proactive and firm in seeing the club had a good structure.Well there was no structure to United once Gill and Fergie left. Quite shocking when you think about how such a big club like United had no organisation and was just relying on Fergie the whole time.
