David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Sunderland are terrible starters though historically. As long as David doesn't lose the players.

"Oy David, you're not a fecking shit manager with the joint worst Premier League start EVER, it's just that Sunderland are historically bad startes, it's not your fault, it's not like you were supposed to change anything and turn us into a better team"

Christ what a fecking shit excuse

Looks like he managed to eclipse all other bad starts now with 2 points from 10 games. Surely not the greatest of signs that he's setting negative records at Sunderland.

Why hatred though? He never disrespected united.

Seriously mate?

He's done nothing but talk shit while he was here and then hasn't stopped since.

He was in an impossible situation following the previous mgr and his failure in keeping united at the top wasn't really his fault since 2 mgrs since haven't done any better.

Van Gaal qualified for the CL in his first year and won a trophy in his 2nd. Both are things Moyes would have never achieved in 10 years.

Jose has been here 3 months ffs.

He hasn't lost the players judging by most of today's match but 2 points after 10 games is indefensible. And it's not like they have had a ridiculously hard fixture list. As for your first point, Sunderland normally recover by sacking the manager who led them to that terrible start.

You lot are the same with Roy Hodgson.

Looking back, I started to dislike Davey when he said that stuff about "Well I was at Everton last season, so I'm not 6 places lower than last year" or whatever he said. Impossible man to like based on his public persona.

How has he not been sacked yet?
I dont hate Moyes at all.. But 2 points from 10 games is beyond shocking

Worst start ever in a Premiere League season, says it all really. His managerial career really is in the toilet.

I hate this guy so much and honestly feel we have never recovered from having him as a manager

He didn't disrespect united in that he hasn't come out directly insult people, But, he constantly went on about the contract length! As if we were wrong for letting him go when it was mathematically impossible to qualify for champions league. His constant refusal to admit he made any mistakes while in charge (like firing and replacing the back room team)
Also how he took the champions and then said that it would be impossible to win the league with them, the constant lowering of expectations as a defence (seen that already at Sunderland!)
I could go on for ages but I spoken about moyes for way to long in my lie and I want to speak about more important things like the weather!!

Mind boggling how he's still in the job.

Mind boggling that he's still in this field. How anyone can make a career and millions of pounds by being a habitual failure is beyond me.
I abhor this grey-fleshed cretin, but he's nothing more than these mouth-breathers deserve.

And which team is next? Another will take a punt on him.

I am fire-fighting too but I have to look at it more long term as well. The plan is to put things in place – like signing young players not just to keep us up but to go on the journey – to take things forward.

“I’m more disappointed than frustrated. My job is to win and I would say my biggest strength is to find a way of winning. If you asked me about my strengths I’d say: ‘Put David Moyes in charge of a team and he will win.’ The hardest thing here is that I have not been able to do that. The players have to take responsibility as well but at the moment I’m scraping around, trying to see if there’s anything I’ve missed.”

Was gonna post that but thought I was being picky, glad I'm not the only one who read that as "It's not my fault everyone's rubbish"

 Not only deluded, but also in the third person

He is so shit, i give him another game, but it is inevitable that he will be sacked soon in November. A game more or less doenst make a difference. He is absolutely shit. To see his face after the spankng yeterday was good for a few seconds to just remind me how clueless and smug he is. Hope he gets sacked and we never see him again in the PL. I hope he goes to some shitty team in Greece or Turkey and never comes back. My fear is he will end up as a part time pundit and we will have to listen to him talking shite for years.

Genuine question. Is he completely crazy?

He's such a cretin.

History will judge his appointment as United manager as the biggest mistake in the clubs history.

Yeah Dave it's shit when people don't take responsibility for their failings.

Yes.
Plus his arrogance is off the scale. Never understood people saying he's a 'decent' guy - pretty obvious he's an ass.

They have:

Bournemouth A
Hull H
Liverpool A
Leicester H
Swansea A
Chelsea H
Watford H
Utd A
Burnley A

That's up until end of December. I give him until Liverpool. They'll get walloped and he'll be off I reckon. Van Gaal will take over and beat us in December. If he's given until the transfer window, I can't see them picking up anymore than five points out of that lot on current form. This will leave them with the ability to buy no one of significance to help improve matters. If there is a chance to get Allardyce back now, they have to take it. He wont be turning this round.

I should be taking relief in how shit and batshit crazy he's been since he left United, knowing it wasn't just our club, but instead I'm just getting more annoyed and incredulous that we ever hired the man.

Not just one of footballs greatest mistakes, but modern business as a whole.

That's a tough run

Yeah, I've never understood that opinion of him. I just put it down to people being desperate to find something likeable in the man.

He has disrespected us. I take it you haven't heard him when he speaks about us?

I hate this guy so much and honestly feel we have never recovered from having him as a manager

C'mon now keep it real. We've had enough time and pumped enough money into players to wipe his legacy from memory. He only signed a couple of players who have been played frequently under both following managers.

“It’s damning, I agree,” said Moyes “It does make me feel lousy, and I do. I don’t feel good about it but you’ve got to take it. I probably spend Saturday night, and quite often, in a darkened room somewhere. “Sunday gets a wee bit better, but not much, and hopefully by the time Monday morning comes, you are ready to go again."

Jesus, he's such a depressing bloke. I can just imagine him spending his weekends crying in a cupboard somewhere, desperately trying to get himself together to face work on Monday morning. You wonder how they're bottom of the league with such an inspirational figure in charge.

We haven't recovered mentally. We thought we were invincible under Ferguson. Within months under Moyes we looked terrified on the pitch and have never recovered.

The more I think about him the angrier I get. I know we can say we acted promptly to move him on but I really think he inflicted a change of mindset on our own players and on the mid-to-low table teams who we used to roll over. I think even LVG would have done better if he inherited the team straight after SAF. it would have been a title winning team, mentally strong with no need to invent a philosophy to get back on track.
