Arsenal could be heading for another RVP situation with Sanchez, just over 18 months left on his deal. Its been a while since a big name ran his contract down, imagine the money he'd be able to command on a free.

Good player but I wouldn't have him at United... Turned us down twice and is a Barcelona reject. No thanks.

I think him and Ozil will both sign new contracts there.

8 goals in 13 is nothing to scoff at, he's a good player and if he did come to us I would have no problem.

Would love him here. Very good player.

What kind of logic is this?
Plenty of logic. You need to be a certain type of player to play for United. Not just any "good player" is a good fit for us. Sanchez is one of those players.

Why would you want a player who turned us down twice anyway..?

Same was said regarding RVP.
Wenger despises Mourinho though, he'd try his damned hardest to block a move, I reckon. Beyond that, there's only really Chelsea as an option within the league, as I don't think Pep and Sanchez are on good terms. Juventus could be a serious option. There's always been some sort of links to them nearly every transfer window, and he did play in the Serie A before.

What does that even mean exactly?

He's a fantastic player, who gives a shit if he turned us down before? Pogba left us, De Gea obviously wanted to leave, so what?

Great player but a little overrated on here. Arsenal haven't come close to a title in his 2 previous seasons and look behind the pace again this year.

I wanted him over Di Maria, we did end up getting the wrong guy in the end, he would be fantastic for us, don't see it happening though.

Our #1 priority right now should be players who want to be here, the ones who will sweat and bleed the shirt purple to put the club back where it belongs. Alexis isn't that, clearly. Given the clubs that will be interested, and that precedent, I can't see him choosing to come here for anything other than the pay cheque.

No thanks.

We have signed so many average players over the last 3 years, Sanchez is a level above all of them.

And second time around it was our fault as we went for Di Maria over him.

What a load of bs.

Alexis gives his 100% everything game. He is a natural born winner.

We need plenty players like that.

Not sure where he'd go really. Would Juventus really be a step up? I guess he'd win things there, but there are already perennial winners of that league. The money there surely wouldn't be much better either. Can't see Bayern wanting him, unless some others unexpectedly leave. He's not gonna end up back in Spain and I'm not sure he'd move to us or Chelsea, especially in our current state. I tho he may end up staying there, mainly due to a lack of viable alternatives.

Alexis runs his bollocks off every match, I'm sure he'd play for the shirt if we did sign him.

Have you seen the guy play? The guy runs his socks off every game and has done it for all the teams he has played for.

I didn't question his workrate, only his interest in playing for us.

I wanted him all the way back when he was at Udinese, but over the years it has become clear he isn't keen on us.

It's odd as with the Casillero link you would expect it to be very attractive to all parties, but it just never happened.

He will be happier at Juventus, he will prefer Juventus, Arsenal also will... the only way to counter that is the pay cheque and I'm not keen on going down that road for the big signings. Would much rather someone like Griezmann.

 at whoever said they wouldn't have him. The guy is as good as anyone in the league when he's on form (like this year) and without a doubt world class. Absolutely brilliant player and has a great work rate. Shame we never ended up getting him, but it just never lined up well when he was moving clubs. The first time between that Barca team and United there's only one winner, while the other time we just had the Moyes season so naturally weren't that attractive an option. If there was one "perfect" player to sign to replace Ronaldo, it would've been him. Didn't pan out though.

He's more suited modern football than your idol Ibrahimović is.

There's literally no argument than can be made as to why he wouldn't be a good fit at United.

I don't think we'all sign him, but your logic is ridiculous. Football is mercenary game. So long as a player performs to the required level, I have no issue with that.

Zlatan is twice the player he is. You're talking rubbish.

He turned us down once choosing Barca over us. He turned us down the 2nd time as we didnt have CL. Which of these is unreasonable enough for us to say we dont want him anymore?

Do elaborate.

The second time was being unreasonable. That was our first year out of the CL and there was no trend. He could have easily joined us had he wanted. Mkhitariyan joined us this year.

That being said, I will have him here in a heartbeat.

I think he'll sign a new contract anyway but when did he turn us down the second time? I don't even remember us being linked when he left Barcelona

I imagine he would stay there, where would he go in Spain or Italy that would pay him as well and I cant see him at Bayern even with Vidal there. If he was going to leave it would be in england and most probably a reunion with Pep.

He could have joined us if he wanted, ofcourse. Point is, one can understand now wanting to join given the situation we were(are?) in. Its not as if we proved him wrong either.

I'm not saying he is unreasonable or a mercenary, I'd just rather focus on having a core which believes playing for United is the best thing that could ever happen to them.

Call me naive if you want, I know it isn't easy, but signing players just because they are great takes us nowhere. We lack identity more so than quality.
