His man management gets criticised alot but he's looking to have come up trumps in a few areas.

Rooney. Mkhitaryan. Martial. Jones.

Sometimes a bit of tough love works wonders.

agreed completely. I genuinely believe he will get it right. We just need to give him the patience he deserves given his track record

I think that it's the Rui Faria effect.

It’s also a basic lesson of a manager (not only football), that make your employees better than you are yourself, make yourself not needed. Rui Faria, played 2, won 2, goals for 7...

Any one of us could have told him to play Martial and Mkhitaryan in our front four. The quicker Mourinho starts playing his best players in their best positions the quicker we'll move up the table.

He's handled the Rooney situation very well, mind you.

Finally relit that fire under Rooney, and Rojo is starting to look like the guy we thought we bought from Portugal. Trust Jose.

Mhki, Martial and Jones are at the same level they have always been at, bar injuries with Jones. Rooney is fired up due to the stick from the press. Not to discredit Jose but that's the reality of the situation. He should have been playing Mhki from the start. Lets hope he sticks with tonight's front 3 and we can go on a good run of from.

How has he come up trump in Mkhitaryan?

We're playing some wonderful stuff. We're playing the kind of football I want Manchester United to be playing. The only problem has been what matters in the end, results and we're not getting them for some reason or another.

The vision is there, the style is there. In the short time he's been here Jose has managed to turn a very stale team who didn't create any goal-scoring chances to a team who plays some wonderful stuff and every game creates loads of goal scoring opportunities.

I truly believe, with Jose it really is a case of him completing the team. We need to keep him here long-term and help him complete his vision.

Its probably not even a case of great man management, he may just see a lot more in training than all those who guess on here.

Players dont deserve chances if they're not performing in training. Some time posters on here just want the more exciting selection.

Martial needed dropping. He then returns looking like the player from last season.

Mkhitaryan needed time and he has hit the ground running.

He handled Mkhitaryan badly. He was good from the beginning, excluding the freak City game with an injury.

The rest i agree.

Costing us top 4 by not playing player of Mkhitaryan's quality, means he's somehow come up trumps.

Was just thinking the same thing.

You can praise him for a lot of things but Mkhitaryan is not one of them. Not giving him any chances apart from a half or two isn't some mastermind stuff from him, it's just utter stupidity.

And that game showed that Mourinho wasted 89m on Pogba.:wenger:

Martial needed games. I'm not going to comment on the Mkhitaryan situation because nobody has a clue what went on.

The biggest thing is Rooney. What happened there? He looks twice the player.

We don't know he would have been as good earlier. Team chemistry and all that.

He´s a genius. It only took him five months to figure out that Martial and Mkhitaryan are two of his best players. How did he do it? We´ll never know.

Some of the armchair managers on here are complete bellers, or trolls, difficult to tell sometimes.

Nice comments after the game as well, especially about the tragedy in Brazil.
