Well all of it is speculation, if UK does well in a few years time then it might be a game changer, if it goes to shit then everyone can carry on stagnating in the EU as they are now
Well the anti EU sentiments will push politics towards applying some reforms, and there's not much wrong with that. But then again, normally I'd say the end results of Brexit would only mean some title changes and sensible reforms too. The problem is though, at the moment it seems like a massive and very unnecessary risk, the whole Western world is proper a shambles right now and all this political chair switching can create huge volatility. Which on its turn, throughout history, usually has led to monumental cock-ups instead of sensible decisons.
