Premier League Matchweek 25 (Feb 11-13)

It's over. United next game in the league is postponed and we will have to wait the 4th March against Bournemouth. Still 6th but well.

Decent point I think. We didn't play poorly, Burnley just played an outstanding defensive game.

Only 4 points dropped to teams outside the Top 6 is still amazing.

Chelsea's remaining league fixtures go in perfect alternating sequence of:

'Should be easy'
'Could be tricky'

Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Watford (H)
Stoke (A)
Palace (H)
City (H)
Bournemouth (A)
United (A)
Southampton (H)
Everton (A)
Boro (H)
West Brom (A)
Sunderland (H)

Title race over? Hell no. Chelsea were flat today and played very poorly. Champions elect, I don't think so. They're still in the front seat but they also still have work to do. There are 13 games remaining. A couple more of these draws and it will be wide open. They were very, very poor today. The team currently in the best form has got to be UTD.

Does writing UTD in block capitals in every post make you feel an über fan?

That's weird. At least I get alternate stress games off to recover.

Don't be daft. Just because he does that doesn't necessarily mean he likes taxis.

86-87 points should be enough to win title. So that's 2 PPG for Chelsea from here on. Still quite well placed. Burnley were 3rd in home table before this gameweek so it is not the worst of results for Chelsea.

Narsingh has been brilliant since hes joined Swansea. Leaving him out for Dyer was weird but preferring to bring in Routledge who's been poor this decade is a shocking decision.

It is more "over" than it was lol There is now fewer games left, and theyre still a minimum of 8 points clear. City dont play again until 5th march i think, Chelsea will have played Swansea at home, by then and probably extended the lead by a further 3. Theyve one hand on it

And the great form Jose has the team playing, has got the club from 6th, to 6th

They can collapse and they will still win the league. The rest of the top 6 aren't consistent enough.

Agreed.
They'd have to lose 4 games for the other teams to overtake them.
I can see them losing 1 game until the end of the season, but definitely not 4.

City play tomorrow at Bournemouth, then as you say their next game is 5th March.

This game has been pretty shit so far. Don't really know why I'm watching but I kind of want to see Leicester burn for some reason.

Is it fair to say that a fair number of those (including me) who willed Leicester to the title last year are now willing them towards the precipice, just for the drama value?

yeh. By which time Chelsea will have maybe beaten Swansea at home, and then play West ham on 5th march, i think

They need to lose practically another 4 games really? While everyone else capitalises... i cannot see it

Chelsea will win the league, might be tighter than the media are saying, but they have enough in the bank already.

Swansea - Leicester is like a practice match. No pressing, no intensity. Yawn.
