Ander Herrera vs N'golo Kanté | Thread has gone well

I asked you a question and you refused to answer it. I asked again and you told me how ridiculous it was to ask a hypothetical question, still refusing to answer the question. You then said it had absolutely nothing to do with the thread and that it was a statement of fact, then it was a joke. So yes, I would say you're bring needlessly defensive. It's not they hard to answer 'yes' or 'no', really, is it?

"If Chelsea had Herrera wouldn't they would be top of the table?" Who can say yes or no?
Chelsea this time last year were languishing around 12th, many expected them to finish top 4 this season but they weren't favourites for the title before the season began.
If they had Herrera they could still be top of the table too, they could be in 6th - who has the ability to know?
But ultimately it doesn't take away from the reasoning why I believe Kante is better than Herrera, which is one of the first things I said.
How hard is that to understand?

If you know Chelsea's league position if they had Herrera and not Kante, then please let me know.

It's called an opinon, 'how difficult is that to understand?' 95% of the questions in this place are hypothetical, are you not familiar with how this forums operate? You look at the home page and about half of the threads pose a theoretical question, honestly!

I'm not disputing that this forum is made of opinions
I'm saying 2 things, 1 - that question is irrelevant wrt why I think Kante is a better player than Herrera, and 2 - I can't answer that question with a simple yes or no.

There's no need to tell me i'm defensive, or to keep my hair on, or try to get me to answer a question which has no relevance to what I was saying etc all because you made an incorrect assumption to begin with.

I'm pretty confident I was spot on. But no it was a statement of fact. No wait, it was a joke! I mean, how difficult is that to understand, right?

Gonna leave it there. Cheerio.

Makelele was also wildly overrated. Can't blame Perez for wanting to upgrade him for someone a bit less useless on the ball. Think they wanted Vieira but it didn't work out.
hmmm.. a player who hardly ever lost the ball, just played quick simple 5-10 yard passes and was so good at snuffing out danger he even had a position named after him.

I wonder if ever you will hear a position called the Herrera or Kante.

Come the players player of year awards, I reckon nationally that Kante will be voted far further ahead by his peers over Herrara

You weren't spot on mate, nobody worth their salt can answer your question. I already explained my reasoning for my opinion, you just chose to ignore it.
Kante is about to win back to back PL titles - that's a fact. Herrera struggles to get back to back Spain call ups, that's also a fact. If you can't see that using both of those was tongue in cheek and lighthearted given how many people mentioned 'back-to-back' in this thread alone, then that's on you not me.

You shouldn't go about insulting people's logic, or telling them the're defensive, or to keep their hair on etc. Only to make incorrect assumptions and irrelevant questions.

Cheerio. ;)

Herrera sent off, Kante anonymous.

That sending-off was the least contentious of this season so far. Kante has been exemplary.

Bias for thinking you can't keep repeatedly fouling one player over and over and over again without getting punished?

It was his second foul. What match are you watching? So Herrera should have got a second yellow because Jones fouls just before that? Righteo.

I'm convinced you're a complete wum to be honest.

Never in a million years were they 2 yellow cards. The 1st one, Herrera didn't move, shouldn't be a foul for standing still, atleast not a bookable offence. The second was a slight touch. I may give that a yellow but only if he was continuously fouling, which he wasn't!

Odd bump, actually. Kante has been awful. Caught on the ball frequently and anonymous in possession.

Neither player has been particularly great. Won't see how it progresses now anyway due to terrible refereeing.

the difference was evident until that cnut of a referee sent herrera off, he shouldnt get a single yellow for any of the challenges..

Kante is pretty pointless and one of the most overrated players these days, of course he's gonna have a good second half as they are playing against 10 at home and against team which doesnt misses key players..

This is a good example why stats can be misleading.

Kante has been twice as effective and I can't even remember him giving away many fouls.

It was never a one of game debate anyway. Nevertheless, game ruined by Oliver.

I've seen him shut down 3 situations already. Maybe that's the best kind of anonymity when your job is to get the ball back no?
Massively overrated and limited player, sadly.

He's been good since we went down to 10 men. He was poor in the 1st half.

Great strike.
