I've never liked him, personally. After his capitulation in the recent Chelsea job, I was very much against the idea of us hiring him, but it happened, so we go from there.
If he can get Champions League football, one way or the other, he's fulfilled the minimal requirement. If not, then it's clearly another failed season and that has to be taken in to account. That said, I'd really be inclined to stick with him, for the sake of continuity, unless things worsen between now and the end.
Constantly changing managers is an incredibly expensive way to achieve little, so I am inclined to give any manager the benefit of the doubt, as I did the last two much longer than most.
