Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

Unless they have a bit of a meltdown like they had one against Bayerm last year.
When they got kind of robbed by refs and conceded two goals in the last 20 minutes to push the game into extra time. Juventus didn't lose against bayern in 180 minutes of football...

Unbelievable. Barca again getting huge favours by the refs, players throwing themselves into elbows to provoke yellow cards for the opponent players, players diving around unpunished, while Juve's players get yellow cards for diving while actually being fouled, and Barca fans are still complaining about the ref. This kind of delusion is pretty much second to none on the planet, apart from a few religious fanatics.

Which game will you guys be watching tonight? I wish they were on at different times. Think I'll be streaming both and switching back and forth a bit.

First Dortmund, and then both games, Bayern Real on the big screen, Leicester on the laptop.

He already reached a CL final and won Serie A with Juve but has unfinished business in England. Things change quickly in football and it's not like the club aren't showing ambition to get back to the top.

Didn't we win a League and reach a cl final whilst Ronaldo was still struggling to go past the last 16 with Madrid? Long-term the move has been beneficial and Pogba probably looks at it the same

I have a bad feeling with today's match and the tie. Madrid are playing bad lately and the truth is that there are many set pieces but not fluid attacks.
Happy that Nacho is playing instead Varane although he is not Pepe.
A tie to see the revenge of Ancelotti

This is a brilliant photo

Müller is fit. Would be a problem if he wasn't, but he is.
I've got a lot of trust in that guy on such occasions, I guess everybody in the club does. It's what he's made for.

Without Lewa, we're losing 50% of our average goal contribution. Not conceding tonight has suddenly become imperative.

Meh, not really. That's largely down to him playing the most games (all as the main man up front), while Müller had a shitty first half of the season. Everyone else except Lew is fit for this game in the offensive, so I'm really not that worried. Real have a shit goalkeeper and some nobody in defense, not the part I'm worried about here.

Müller needs a second striker next to him to properly function, play costa + Müller in the middle, bench Alonso. A bit experimental though, so Ancelotti definitely won't do that. I probably wouldn't either.

19 goals in 39 games when he played as lone man up front for us. That's really not that bad. Never worked or the national team, which is what most people remember, but that's down to other reasons.

The first time in years that Robben and Ribery have both been fit for several months....and then Lewy, who is basically never injured, picks up an injury right before the CL quarter final against Real...just great -.-

Not a Bayern fan at a long strech, but i hope they kick Real out. Only an eliminated Spanish team is a good Spanish team (apart from Bilbao)

“According to our information, Robert Lewandowski will definitely not appear against Real Madrid today, will not be in the squad.”

No Lewa changes things. As good as Bayern are, these days I don't rate their side that highly without him.

So who is going to take over his place? Muller? If so, who is going to play as support striker?
I'd imagine A midfield three of Alonso, Vidal and Thiago and Ribéry, Muller and Robben up front or is anyone of them injured?

I think Coman as a striker could work in general, but maybe not in the near future. He needs more experience and definitely needs to work on his finishing.

Wednesday 12th April | Team News (early kick-off)

I guess that's 3-4-2-1 (?):
Bürki
Sokratis - Bender - Ginter
Piszczek - Weigl - Guerreiro - Schmelzer
Dembélé - Kagawa
Aubameyang

Every BVB player was free to decide if he wanted to play this match.

Fair play to the Dortmund players still going ahead and representing their team. It's so unfortunate about how they have to play less than 24 hours after the incident.

I hope the game still lives up to the billing. I completely understand if it doesn't though considering what happened.

Look forward to watch Dembele and Mbappe regardless.

I don't watch much of Dortmund, but is that basically their usual starting XI?

Bartra and Reus are the two usual starter, which are missing today.

EDIT: Durm has also secured a consistent starting spot in 2017.
