Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

I'm not saying it's fixed but why do these decisions always tend to go for Barca/Real rather than against them.

Because nobody else is paying the refs. Yep, I said it. They're bought. Nobody can be this bad and whistle CL. I bet in some years, we'll hear about a betting scandal or major corruption involving CL and referees. There's no way this shit is going so consistently for one nation by accident.

@Mihai My mistake, I stand corrected. Yeah, we need video technology urgently. This was the best leg in a long time, until Vidal was sent off incorrectly.

But let's not be down, there's Monaco vs Dortmund tomorrow:)

Who needs Monaco or Dortmund when the proper giants are playing against Andrlecht on Thursday?

Maybe UEFA and FIFA will finally be forced to implement video replays after this farce.

That would actually be well worth it. Well... I hope any other team than Real or Barca the darlings of the referees/UEFA win the Cl this year.

But I gotta be honest... with all this refereeing bullshit I find myself prefering US sports (NFL, NBA) over football more and more.

Just thinking how long it has been since Övrebö's masterpiece against Chelsea and still the same shit happens on the biggest stages, incredible.

Probably just offside.

But these aren't easy decisions in real time.

Video technology is needed.
The assistants positioning is fecking awful.

I hate when players do this. You lost such a big game and you were robbed and what you do? You smile , shake hands and chat on the pitch.
I miss players like keane or drogba. Be angry ffs.

Disproportionately in favor of Real and Barca, one might feel. That's the problem.

I don't think there's a conspiracy, just hate those jammy cnuts and everything about their circus of a club.

I still think it's the whole domestic standards vs European ones that cause these ref feckups

Ref was a disgrace. Lino was a disgrace.

That's it for me. Not happy at all

Was working tonight so haven't seen he game, but Real Madrid are so weird. They win all the time, but every time I see them it seems like a massive struggle. When last did the win a game proper convincingly?
Viktor was absolute class for them tonight. Motm by a long distance

They aren't easy when you're 4 fecking yards behind the action, horrible positioning. Offside too.

Even if he was in line, its extremely close. Not clearly offside but probably just offside nonetheless.

The first one was far clearer.

Was bound to happen. Bayern screwed by the refs in this game. They played 3 injured players (two CBs) and outfought Real tonight. A truly brilliant performance given the circumstances.
A harsh red on Vidal for a fine tackle (while Casemiro was somehow allowed to stay on) and that second Madrid goal killed them. Oh my... that assistant will be the target of verbal abuse for days and rightly so. What a brainfart. Still Ancelotti really should have taken Vidal off with 10 minutes to go. They were on course for ET and it was coming all game. Best team lost this time around, but it happened before and most likely will happen again.

One of the most thouroughly disgusting games of football I've ever seen. Not due to the quality of football on display, which was actually very enjoyable. But this officiating... How can anyone still stand for this?

Nah, the pressure on them to do it will be too much now.
It's always like this though. As good as Barca were they always seemed to get that bad decision that helped them through a tie they struggled in.
That didn't change anything and neither will this.
UEFA will just ignore the German press for a few weeks until the semi final where it will all be forgotten.

I'd have excused the linesman for that, if he wasn't 5 meters behind the ball. Not blaming him for the decision itself but it's a poor performance, nonetheless.

Fair enough

What about the first leg?
CL knockout is decided over 2 legs. Bayern did great, very unlucky not to go through

Comparing this with Bayern vs Real and Barca under guardiola would be ridiculous

I hate when players do this. You lost such a big game and you were robbed and what you do? You smile , shake hands and chat on the pitch.

I thought the same, hardly a protest between the 10 of them at the end

Don't worry though if there will be some wrong decisions in Barcelona's favor tomorrow Madrid fans will have the cheek to cry about it.
