Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

Just one question, and it is not provocation, really.
Are real madrid and barca fans aware that refs are always on their side? Are you embarrassed?
Why the hell would I be embarrassed?

We get our share of decisions, we also get them against us sometimes. It's harsh but it'll stay the same until we have video refereeing.

I usually don't like to talk about refs, even when our rivals are profiting from it. But yeah, he was awful.

So he loses all capability of crossing the ball? Even his bodyshape was entirely wrong. Terrible, terrible performance.
I thought he did alright in the circumstances but I understand where you're coming from with regards to the crosses not usually making it past the first man. But it's harder to cross accurately under that kind of pressure from the opponents. Let alone when you're 20 years old playing against Atletico. Had zero support from the rest of the team too.

And Barça fans have the cheek to cry about it today  It's a never ending circle with these two. It's even worse in Spain than in Portugal

I thought spanish and portuguese refs were the worst. This Hungarian chap is the undisputed corrupt champion. A refereeing like this in Portugal and there would be deaths or Pedro Guerra would explode as the ticking lard bomb that he is.

To be fair, I don't think they knew about how bad the decisions were at that point. Players are usually too involved during games to see what we can.

Even if they didn't know about the offsides they surely knew Casemiro should have been sent off well before Vidal was?

We need some ANGRY german quotes from a Bayern board meltdown
so far, the UK reaction is more outspoken (Guardian: "[..]Bayern Munich have been done over by some awful officiating by Viktor Kassai and co. They were well on top when Arturo Vidal was incorrectly sent off near the end of normal time. Vidal’s dismissal was compounded by Ronaldo scoring two offside goals in extra-time[..]" than theone in the local media - Münchner Merkur mentions the offside 2-2 but nothing else in their after-match report.

Dunno about board meltdowns as there aren't any worth visiting.

Just watch the penalty and was a dive from robben

It was a clear penalty. These situations are considered dives only by the people who do not care about the rules. The striker doesn't have to jump obstacles in his run towards the ball.

That´s too soft mate. I think i´ll wait for some Hoeness/Rummenigge quotes

Man, is it the right time for fake quotes of Hitler attributed to Bayern fans or not?

I actually feel for them a bit tonight.

Actually, do those Hitler jokes. We can take those, we've had those for 70 years. Heck, scream them in my face. I'll drive over so you won't have any work to do. ANYTHING is better than trying to keep your cool and be all sportsmanlike about it and at least be a little happy for the Madrid fans here, who s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶f̶u̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶n̶k̶ ̶g̶o̶d̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶t̶w̶o̶ ̶m̶o̶n̶t̶h̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶l̶u̶c̶k̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶c̶l̶u̶b̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶o̶w̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶e̶b̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶k̶e̶e̶p̶ ̶p̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶o̶s̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶f̶e̶r̶e̶e̶s are not responsible and are just happy they won the C̶L̶ ̶t̶r̶o̶p̶h̶y quarter final today. :)

Dutch TV discussed the decisions and it was bizarre.
- 2 offside goals by Real.
- 3 moments where Casemiro could have gotten a 2nd yellow.
- Lewandowski unfairly ruled offside when he went 1v1 on Navas.
- Vidal's 2nd yellow was unfair as he clearly hit the ball first.

That's 7 moments which all favored Real.

Don't know what to say really...Bayern has been robbed. Real Madrid is the jammiest team I swear, every time they are down, their opponents gets a red card. I hope Atletico Madrid knocks them out.

Congratulations @Vato, @giorno, @carvajal.

Not even angry right now, that match was utterly exhausting.
Thank you!Do you support Bayern?. They played a great second half, very brave even in the extra time.
I think that Madrid was slightly better accounting both games but it's a pity to win with an illegal gol that will overshadow the good match

Bayern were utterly jobbed by that red card. They had just tied it and momentum had swung to them. After that it was all Madrid. Courtesy of the refs gut punch to Bayern.

Calimero could've fouled all game long and wouldn't have gotten a 2nd yellow. Jesus wept, what's the point of playing against the spanish giants?

That doesn't really surprise me. The outrage is usually bigger in the UK or at least that's the impression I get. Do you think the German press will have a stronger reaction later on?

Who can stop Madrid?
Even if someone tries ref will do his best to push them over the line.

Casemiro should've been off for that foul on robben in the second half. Minutes later vidal gets sent off for something that wasn't even a foul. Then the ridiculous offside goal

Worst part is ref was good in the first half, then completely lost his mind in the second. Linos got two close calls maybe wrong(big one on lewi, lesser one on cris) then got two absolutely bonkers wrong(bayern 2-1, cris 2-2)

There probably was a penalty on casemiro in extra time, too. Basically they were great for 45 minutes, then put together a truly unbelievable 75 minutes of screw-ups which ruined the game and massively screwed bayern over

The luck will balance out, Real won't win the champions league.

I feel so sorry for Bayern. You could see from Lahm's reaction at the final whistle how much that hurts him.

what really gets me is, that the three game deciding decisions were all fairly easy. Dunno how any top ref could get all three wrong. We got our own fair share of "lucky" decisions in the past, so no reason to make that bigger than it is, but boy ho boy. That ref must have gotten a nice paycheck.

Why are people saying Vidal hit the ball first? He quite clearly clips the toe before winning the ball.

Also, the pen was very soft and Bayern's second was slightly offside, so the officiating was a bit naff all round.

Not a chance Real were the better side in either leg (well not when it was XI v XI)

Loosing is one thing but loosing like this...I just feel devasted right now... on top of this my girlfriend of 7 years broke up yesterday...I literally feel like god hates me, worst 2 days of my life

Well at least you're gonna win the title. So you got that going for you. Which is nice.

I do. Think our team deserved better for the huge effort and energy they put into coming back into this tie... but I have to say I'm also mad at Ancelotti. We needn't have played with 10 men.

Feel sorry for you mate. :(

Always keep your head up! Good times will come again.

Who needs Monaco or Dortmund when the proper giants are playing against Andrlecht on Thursday?

Haha, That is our (Sevilla's) favourite tournament, so I'd say your playoff games are much more prestigeous than any other competition:D
