Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

@Vato is always a good sport, in victory and defeat, no need to take shots at him. Even when he posts some pics from his next hungarian vacation.

Who thinks when we play in Europe Herrera and Bailly will be prone to sending off?

That doesn't really surprise me. The outrage is usually bigger in the UK or at least that's the impression I get. Do you think the German press will have a stronger reaction later on?
Nope.

But the Germans should boycott Mallorca holidays for a year. The Spanish economy would collapse and Madrid/Barcelona would be forced to pay taxes for the first time. :D

2 offside goals, a non existent red card and Casemiro staying on the pitch. One of the worst refereeing perfromances I have ever witnessed in my life.

Real will make sure to appoint this referee next time.

Hey, no shit. Wonder why. :P
Well, you laugh but it's exactly for this reason, you look like a dick when you talk too much about refs and then have decisions going your way. That won't stop the culés everywhere crying when something goes in our favor. They seem to have short memories.

Who can stop Madrid?
Even if someone tries ref will do his best to push them over the line.
I reckon Atletico Madrid or Juventus will beat them.

After losing to two painful finals to Real and coming so close, I really think that Atletico will play like its the last game of their lives if they were to meet Real again. And Juventus seems to have a good record against Real.

it is not the fault of supporters or the players, when refs bottle it, so no reason to get defensive about it. Congrats to you and @carvajal

Was hoping Leicester would get a battering.

Why are people saying Vidal hit the ball first? He quite clearly clips the toe before winning the ball.

Also, the pen was very soft and Bayern's second was slightly offside, so the officiating was a bit naff all round.
Not really. The blown red for casemiro and the wrong red on vidal were the two biggest mistakes which swung the game, and they both went our way. The rest kind of evened itself out

I do. Think our team deserved better for the huge effort and energy they put into coming back into this tie... but I have to say I'm also mad at Ancelotti. We needn't have played with 10 men.
Not really his fault the ref suddenly lost his freaking mind tbf

Vidal would have been sent off rightfully sooner or later (he did enough also before the wrong second booking), no way we would have ended this match with 11 players with him playing. Everybody could see that, Carlo needed to pull him off just minutes earlier. After 75 mins it was madness to still have him on the pitch.

A lot of referee errors in this tie:

1. Penalty for Vidal in Munich that could have killed a tie was not a hand ball.
2. Vidal not getting sent of today which was an awful mistake because after that the referee compensated on Casemiro. (Second yellow for Vidal was clear as daylight. He took both the ball an the player).
3. Offside called for Lewa where Marcelo kept him onside.
4. Offside goal from Ronaldo.

Sports are at their best when a team is as hated as Madrid/Barca. So desperate for someone to beat them now though.

Where should have Vidal got send of before the 2nd yellow?
And how is his sending of clear as daylight. He got the ball first and it can't be a yellow, it was a clean tackle.

Could you possibly be any more biased?

Come again?

It was a foul in my book as he went through the player to get the ball. I even think that giving a yellow for that can be justified under the right circumstances as it was a tackle from behind, but the biggest issue I have with this decision is that it completely went against the line of refereeing Kassai established in that game. He can´t let Casemiro get away with two bookable offenses while he was on a yellow just to send off Vidal for a less harsh challenge minutes later. Casemiro even commited another clear tacitcal foul afterwards and still stayed on the pitch.

In isolation Vidal´s second yellow was harsh but could be justified, in relation to the game it was a hilariously poor call which was in my book even worse that the crystal clear offside situation for the equalizer.

So you're saying you don't remember his awful tackle on Casemiro when he already had a yellow card?

If so, there's nothing more to talk about.

No need to be agressive. It was just a question. I'm sure you have a video of that tackle.

I think the whole he got the ball thing is a bit annoying, do the rules say that it can't be a foul if you touch the ball before touching a player?
