About time Chelsea have a small issue with a bit of lack of recovery time. The advantage they had compared to the rest of the league over the christmas/new year period was huge.

Shame the Arsenal v City match is on during our game.

Are Chelsea - Spurs supposed to meet in the league as well?

Seems unfair that United play before Liverpool after playing on thrusday and when the scousers had a full week rest

My sources tell me Ake will start ahead of Cahill (who has spent 2 nights in hospital with the same illness that was the sole reason we lost last weekend).

So, resident Chelsea fans, what are your predictions for the FA Cup match with Spurs today?

It's a hard game to predict for me, and of course I'm biased, but think Spurs will edge it.

I hope the lads put in some effort tomorrow and there is a level of new found intensity in the team from Cech to Giroud.

I want us to win of course, win at all costs but at the same time I at least want us to put up a fight, win or lose.

The team has looked so lethargic and lazy for months now with almost everyone just strolling around the pitch like the game doesn't matter. This matters, its a chance of a trophy, a third FA cup in 4 years and possibly the last chance Wenger will have to win a trophy with the club he dragged into the 21st century. A chance to save this season for the fans, 6th and a FA cup win is a respectable season.

If the players don't realize the magnitude of this game and come out playing their same lethargic football, then I'll give up on this group. Fans don't expect to win every game but we at least want some effort and regardless of Wenger's contract situation or his tactics, the players have been putting in very little effort for these past months and if they can't rectify it for the cup semi-final then I have no words.

Would have agreed with you earlier in the season when Antonio needed time with the team but think the gap between games is actually working against us now, especially after the two recent losses.

Eh? How does it work against you at the moment?

Out of hospital but nowhere near fit to play. I think with gastroenteritis it'll take a few days to recover, especially for a pro athlete.
Think Ake has earned his place after his loan spell at Bournemouth. Do you think Conte is gonna change his system with him?

If we were to face Spurs in the PL then i would have been really pessimistic of our chances but FA Cup semifinal is a different ball game altogether.Hopefully our experienced players will make it count. 2-1 to us.

Couple of hours make no difference really. Same number of night's rest.

Really hope Arsenal don't win this competition and City as well. Shame they play each other. Don't mind who wins it out of Chelsea and Spurs as long as the team that wins the cup doesn't win the league.

I would happily take the FA cup. League is still unrealistic imo. I think some people are slightly underestimating City though.
