Top 4 race 2016/17

We still need Liverpool to lose one more गाने to stand a chance which I don't see happening. And even then we'd need to do well to overtake them

Still all to play for, all the teams in the hunt are well capable of dropping a clanger and in the case of United and Arsenal upsetting Spurs and each other while seeing out the season. Whats interesting is United could finish the season unbeaten in nearly 30 games and still miss top 4, that would have to be a record.

Southampton at home. Mark it down because that's the one we'll drop points in.
I just had a look at your fixtures and apart from boro there arent any teams that are comfortable. Even boro on last day if they have a chance to save themselves? west ham away watford away are more difficult than southampton at home.
City i think will be very confident of top 4, i think only tough game is leicestor at home, you dont know what you get from palace but they should beat palace at home specially without sakho.
Our run in is tougher than both but its in our hands and we just need to match liverpool's results in 4 games and get a point in the game in hand, i think GD might come into it with united having a great defense right now.
Arsenal play spurs and jose mourinho and everton and stoke and southampton, that is very very tough set of fixtures and i think unless they beat spurs and us they are done for,

Arsenal to lose at Spurs, draw vs United, may drop points elsewhere (at Stoke possibly). +11-13

United draw at Arsenal but lose at Spurs, win the other three. +10

Liverpool will likely drop points per usual, possibly at West Ham or home to So'ton, maybe both. +10

City likely win out their remaining five matches but who knows - they could put in another misfiring performance like tonight and drop points somewhere. +13-15

City 78-80
Liverpool 76
United 74
Arsenal 71-73

Arsenal/United match will be huge if either have a shot at taking fourth and would still require Liverpool to lose at least once, and draw once (or multiple draws). Goal differential could get interesting with two/three sides possibly finishing on level points. Pool +28, United +26, Arsenal +24 on current standing with Arsenal and United having additional matches to increase their GD.

I think pool will crumble under pressure but we wont be able to take advantage.

More likely Swansea this Sunday. Can easily see that being another 1-1.

That in no universe is an easy match. They are 3rd from bottom with a chance to save their PL status and millions of pounds. Not to mention PL level salaries for all their players. They have a lot to fight for. Much more than Liverpool or Utd do this season.

We need Spurs to beat Arsenal, put them out of their misery for top 4 and theiir minds could drift to the FA cup final.

If one of the current teams in top 4 misses, it'll be Liverpool no doubt.

If we defeated Swansea and Arsenal we had a good shot at top 4.

The away games don't worry me as much but Southampton at home does. They seem to know how to play against us. Three games no goals conceded, two wins one draw.

It'll be tight regardless of who ends up in the top four.

If we actually get some form together we will make it. Liverpool could lose at any point the way they are going. It's just whether we can cut out the home draws.

Yeah looks like it, unless jose plays the kids against swansea and goes for europa. We dont have a team left i think we may not have players to put on sub bench that will be our undoing.

What's your injury/suspension list now after tonight?

Fellaini
Pogba
Ibra
Mata
Jones
Smalling
Rojo
Mensah

Bailley has played 10 games in a row weekend-midweek-weekend. Rashford is fecked, so is darmian and valencia (by fecked i mean tired).
Basically our first choice striker, our first choice attack mid, central mid and central defender are all out add to that our 2nd/3rd choice defenders and our 4 th choice midfielder is out too.
Carrick is 35? Herrera is the lone standing midfielder and even he cant play all the games.

Playing without defensive cover and half a midfield potentially

Damn that's quite a list. Certainly doesn't allow us to use the injury excuse.

Mata was a big loss. He was having a great season pre injury.

I can't see it. I don't expect more than two points from the Spurs/Arsenal game. We still have to go to Southampton and I can bet the'll be up for it.

If Arsenal have nothing to play for against United the chances of them winning probably double imo, if it's a pressure game with possible top 4 qualification on the line it's an obvious defeat.

Arsenal with top 4 up for grabs are fecking lethal.

It's a much easier game if they're well out of it. We should be cheering on Spurs.

Just seen this on Twitter. Gives an idea of our top four chances based on potential results.

Usually yeah but not this Arsenal team. The midfield doesn't function offensively or defensively, hence the change in formation. No team in the league depends more on a single player than this Arsenal team does on Cazorla.

Jesus what a load of drivel.

You don't need fecking stats to work out what needs to happen with so little amount of games left!

Yeah, drop that fecking गाने , whatever that means.

Liverpool will be without Mané though, remember their form without him in january.

Oh come on, someone slaved all night to make that!

This probably sounds stupid but after Arsenal discovered a tough mentality against City and found a way to beat Leicester, I'm not sure Spurs will win this. I'm going to stick a fiver on the Arse to win.Odds are good.

City got the easiest run by far. Can see them winning all the 5 games and finishing 3rd.

Liverpool should have an easy run but for them this schedule is very hard :D Can see them at least losing one another match against Watford or South.

We got a tough schedule but hell Arsenal got even harder one. The only easy match they have is Sunderland.

City is a sure 3rd position finish for me. We can still steal the 4th position from Liverpool.

We have the hardest fixtures but we also haven't lost in 25 league games.

It's doable but I've said it before and I'll say it again, Europa is the easy path by some distance.

City's home games look potentially tricky to me. Palace-Leicester-WestBrom will be 3 straight games with teams happy to sit deep and counter against Guardiola and they've all had great performances this year doing that against better clubs. Hard to see City winning all 3. But Watford and Boro look awful so they'll likely get it done.

I can't see it. I don't expect more than two points from the Spurs/Arsenal game. We still have to go to Southampton and I can bet the'll be up for it.

Mourinho will get us a win in one of those London games. That's his thing.

I can see 4 points from those games, I really can.

A win against Swansea puts us in a very strong position, Liverpool are so average this season, they seem to be going backwards and don't have a backbone. They will lose more games.

We need Liverpool to have off-days in two of their remaining four games for us to have a chance.

I'm not even sure we have the resources for this anymore though; by my count we only have 16 fit, available players in the entire squad (and that includes Romero and Tuanzebe). We're stretched to breaking-point and have to navigate an incredibly gruelling run-in.

As long MU win the next match, they will be on 34 matches with 1 point above Liverpool.

I have a feeling MU will be forth and MC will be third at the end of the season.
