Premier League matchweek 36 (may 5th-may 10th)

Having not looked like scoring you just know that Clyne or someone will hit a 40 yard screamer into the to corner in a minute

There's no chance Liverpool are winning the league under Klopp. They can only aspire to reach the CL every season and do their best in cups.

Depressing thought for their fans.

Anfield is worse than the Emirates.

Not a sound to get behind the team but boos and jeers at the ref if he doesn't give Liverpool a freekick for getting dispossessed.

Agreed. Also think their league season will be much like this one. Start well and be near the top until about midway and then fall away because they won't have the same quality as the other big sides.
It more or less hinges on what we do in the summer. We've had a net spend of 5mill the past few seasons so theoretically we should have about 150mill to spend this summer plus sales. Do or die for FSG, just 5-6 wont be enough with injuries and sales.

If liverpool don't get their now regular goal in injury time first half then I think this game might end in a draw

I'm calling it. The first player to be booked in this match will be Boufal. He's consistently been putting in niggling challenges to whoever wins the ball against him.

It's not really. If supporting a football team becomes depressing then you probably shouldn't be doing it.

As usual Klopp is constantly in the ear of the 4th official. What a character.

Soton players should be playing out of their skin. Every chance on or two end up at Anfield next season.

Shit match but Southampton making life difficult for the Scousers.

We're running on fumes at this point. I don't think I can expect another great/good performance from us this season.

It'll be lots of scrappy games

Yes, you've had such a unforgiving schedule, fighting on all fronts.

Can you really spend £150m when you have so much money going to wages?

Lallana for Lucas should make that Liverpool midfield more fluid and tough to handle for Southampton. Southampton are sitting back anyways, and Lucas hasn't had to do much covering, so Can can take over that ball-winning role whilst offering more going forward.

We need to learn how to grind a game out without requiring a wonder goal.
This is where we need a Kane or an Ibrahimovic. Someone who can unlock a stubborn defence. Mane is the closest we have to that.

Klopp jogging back to the dressing room at HT - his running stance is pretty much what you'd expect if QWOP was real life.

Bring Lallana on for Lucas, put Can into the middle of the midfield, and we'll have that little bit extra going forward. Southampton looking WAY too comfortable.

:D My man gets it.

SAF done that quite a lot, :D.
I agree. It's funny to see him getting away with stuff that Mourinho would and has been punished for. And some of them still genuinely believe we're getting every decision possible.

Your going to need to keep reminding yourself of that over the next few years to get through it mate.
