'Wenger out' banners disturb crowning of the Duke of Alva

Good time to be playing us as we've turned into charity FC and are giving 3 points away to every and any team.

I must agree. Half the team entering the last year of the contract, not having won shit in ages, fan protests every weekend...

Getting closer to announce he is staying now. Just hope it's gonna be only 1 year. It would be a good deal for us and for him.

I don't want them winning the FA cup but I also don't want Chelsea doing the double.

I despise the way he alludes to dark forces or behind the scenes stories but never explains them fully when he's under pressure from poor performances.
One day I'll tell you this and that.. Jog on Arsene.

"I almost signed the dark forces."

Well for anyone wanted Wenger to stay on to keep Arsenal underachieving, should want Arse to win the cup

But also, Chelsea. One of my most hated teams so it’s a very easy choice

I know, right? Shitty weekend of FA Cup results all round.

Then again it's nice that Pep didn't win anything in his first season, and this place would be intolerable if Spurs ever won anything. It was a lose-lose Cup weekend, and at least City are tired and deflated ahead of the derby.

Disaster if he signs a new deal, it will be a big side-effect to us winning the FA Cup.

Shame. Hate to experience the pleasure of winning the FA Cup and then the agony with this guy announcing he's staying.

Wouldn't mind Arsenal winning the FA cup if it meant Wenger signed for another 2 years.
Think Chelsea will win it reasonably comfortably unfortunately.

I'm sure Chelsea will win the double. But it'll be funny to see Arsenal fans change their tune should they win the FA cup. It'll complete the annual cycle of hope for the season ahead, misery when it all falls apart, followed by another summer of hope when they only need to strengthen [insert position here] to challenge for the title next season.

Nah Chelsea winning will be better. Chelsea fans on here are reasonable and don't annoy like the Spurs fans. Arsenal fans (Santi aside) are no different :p

If they win the FA Cup and squeeze in the top 4 - both long shots - and he stays then Arsenal will be just doing exactly what they have been doing over the last few years. From a United point of view, better that he stays. If I were an Arsenal fan, I'd be looking for him to gracefully but bearing in mind he doesn't deserve to be hounded out. Fergie knew when to call it quits at Man United, Wenger doesn't seem to have that awareness. It's sad from Arsenal point of view that his last few years might well be remembered for all the rancour and bitterness we have seen recently. Better to bow out when you know you have had your day and not overstay your welcome.
I think they have more chance of winning the Cup than top 4 though.

He had that old, massively smug, self-satisfied look on his face this morning. You'd think he'd won the Champions' League.

This could be the game that saves Wengers job.

First competitive win against Jose. Definitely signs of progress.

I think the new contract will be announced soon.

Could it save Wenger's job? Quite possibly.

But signs of actual progress? I wouldn't have said so.
