David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Wasn't there another one with Jimmy Lumsden?

So Moyes wouldn't have allowed Defoe's relegation clause, you have to feel sorry for Dave, it's a shame when mistakes from a previous manager still haunt the team...

They wrote the clause in thinking they wouldn't need it, ever. That worked out well.

I don't think Moyes is in much of a position to criticise other managers for dishing out stupid contracts.

I love United with every fibre of my being, the greatest gift my late father bestowed upon me was ensuring I grew up a red, going old Trafford, learning the history,, you get the picture!!
Well when this dickhead was manager, things were so bad, it got so severe that a SMALL part of me wanted us to get beat, in the hope they sack the Dick!!

I have never felt that before and I sure as hell don't want to feel it again .

Moyes must make a shit load of money being sacked from every job. We paid him for the remaining 5 years of his contract, right?

They have to get rid of him. If they don't, this time next year they'll be looking forward to life in League One.

Worst Manager to ever be in charge of a giant club, surely.

It's incredible this man was the manager of Manchester United. It's like a spoof comedy.

"We'd like to apologise to our viewers in the North - it must be awful for you."

There will always be a club willing to take a punt on him because of his Everton stint.

Not a PL club, not anymore.

Might have been the case before the horror show he has served up at Sunderland, but I think he is done for.

His best hope of ever getting a "top" job again will be if Rodgers goes back to the PL and the Celtic job becomes available.

Even the Celtic board surely have more ambition than the ghost of Everton 2008.

Celtic would be mad to even consider him. I doubt they will. He'd spend the entire pre-season moaning about the quality of Scottish footballers.

He's done. A one-off failure is understandable (let's pretend his United reign isn't well representative of his managerial ability). But he's failed 3 jobs in a row now.

Whether it's mental scaring from the United job or he was a fraud all along, it make very little difference now.

Sunderland fans finally chanting they want him out. Not sure what took them so long.

As I posted in the prem thread, disappeared down the tunnel as quickly as possible again, tosser, was that their last home game?

He won't leave without his 'pay off'... should have resigned and left with some dignity, but seems too greedy.
Sunderland should be worried as I can't see him doing well with them in the Championship.

I think he's possibly the only person who would be able to not win the title with Celtic, it would be hilarious.

Agreed. However, better late than never. They'll have far less chance of coming back up with him there next season.

Thought so, I know they probably don't want to see him but that just shows what kind of person he is.
Let's be honest, he doesn't care about the fans nor the club. It's all about self-preservation for him. Running out of excuses now though...
