Rachel Riley won player of the season, rewarded with a player of her choice.

Congratulations to Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia, Henrikh Mhkitaryan, Axel Tuanzebe and Angel Gomes (the youngest recipient of the Youth award). Well deserved by all.

Glad to see Herrera win it. He's one of those players who just brings everything together but he doesnt have a highlight reel and so a lot of people cant see his worth.

Zlatan has done a lot of good but he has missed a lot of sitters.

Valencia has been good but you can't influence from RB the way you can from midfield.

Who is ahead of Valencia in the TOTS? He's been the best right back in the league and according to our players, the best Manchester United player of the season.
Walker has been ahead of him in my opinion.

Well deserved for Ander. I thought he was clearly the best of the lot this season.

Dissapointed for Valencia. I think he was by far the most deserving
When he can put a cross in and beat his man consistently I will agree with you. He has been great defensively but we no longer get anything attacking wise from our fullbacks and we are suffering for it. He got the players award, so they love him. Spread the love around. :D

I do not understand how Zlatan didn't win it, he was by far the most deserving of the lot and the reason why we won those 2 cups and didn't have more draws in the PL.
Valencia has had a good season but his form has completely dropped now, I was surprised to see him running down the right wing at his age and putting in crosses for Zlatan but now with Zlatan gone, Valencia has nobody to put crosses too. And Herrera? Granted he has had a really good season but Zlatan's was far far better. This really shows how far the standards have dropped in United as none of these players would have won these awards 5 years ago.

Well deserved for Herrera. I voted for Valencia as Zalatan was injured and missed many games, whereas Valencia was very consistent performer whole season. It was always between Herrera, Zlatan and Valencia. Players like Rojo had superb season but they missed many games at the start and end of the season.

5 years ago Valencia swept all awards, Matt Busby player of the year, players player of the year, goal of the year. Previous to that Hernandez won Sir Matt Busby player of the year.

Valencia and Hernandez were remarkable back then and he used to be our main attacking outlet and that was when Valencia knew how to put great crosses consistently and knew how to be world class. Zlatan has had a far better season than Valencia and Herrera this season and the reason why we have won 2 titles. I just can't understand how the present Valencia could win a award over a striker who has scored many many goals for us and saved us countless times this season. Maybe the players like him and they want to acknowledge his contributions to the team, could be wrong.

It should have been Zlatan but I'm pleased for Herrera.

that is not funny, it is sad, how many years in England, and he is not speaking english, redicilous.

Cut him some slack, guys like Carragher and Harry Kane have lived in England all their lives and still can't speak a word English.

Zlatan was the main striker so obviously he will score goals. Valencia and Herrera had superb seasons there is no doubt about that.

Actually impressed they went for Herrera. He was the deserved winner but I was convinced the muppet faction would have seen Zlatan who apart from goals has been poor won the award. Faith in humanity restored a little.

I think people are over rating Valencia. I thought our attacking play suffered because of his ineptitude. I would be surprised if he's a starter come August.

No Mourinho speech?

Also why did we hold this before the Cup Final?
We only got to the final a week ago, this would have been planned long before that. Everyone will probably be on their holidays after the final anyway.

I'm glad Ander won because I like him, and he's the kind of player it'll mean a lot to, but it's fairly symptomatic of our season that our Player of the Year was a guy who was just kinda mostly decent, for a while. He didn't feck up that much and looked like he cared and was really good in a couple of big matches, but if he's the standout performer of the season then... yeah, that's not great. It's probably the lowest bar for a winning outfield player I can remember. But at least it was an outfield player. Baby steps, ey.

I don't get the cult of Herrera. Yes he is tidy, yes he runs around a lot, yes he seems like a top bloke and cares about the club but too say he has been our best player this season? If that is true we have fallen further than I thought!

S'all that's needed to stand out at the moment. Same with Valencia really. He belts up and down the touchline, supposedly has the best crossing stats in the league, but how useful have they really been? That said, if everyone put the effort of these two in we might be a bit better off.

What's with the Rojo should have won comments, he started playing cb in December and that's when he started playing well . The other nominees started playing well from word go.

I love Ander's passion for the club, but player of the season - not in my opinion

That is a fantastic video, emotional and really inspirational. Great touch from the players and shows you what football really means to us all, the way it gives you hope and motivation, and how we each would feel meeting our heroes. Fair play to Pogba for trying to get this young lad to be a mascot, would be a brilliant touch. He, and his friend, are inspirations.

And some people say we need an upgrade on Herrera. Shows you what they know

Well done Herrera, well deserved.

Or it shows how crap we've been for most of the season.

Probably the most underwhelming poty winner since the 80s. But from an underwhelming team, what should we expect?

You mean apart from 50% of all our goals?
