I sincerely hope Angus doesn't lose his seat, but I fear he will. It's a shame, because it looks like it will be the SNP in opposition yet again.
I don't think he will. He consolidated his lead the last time out. It'll be tight but he'll win.

Think May's decision to send Rudd despite the death of her father two days ago makes it look positively callous, let alone cowardly.

That depends on whether the media latch onto it. They won't.
Exactly. Don't expect to see anything about May's absence on the 10 o'clock news either. It will be the coalition of chaos line. Calling it now.

I agree. I hope people at home will be questioning Theresa's ability to lead this country.

Alright stranger! Absolutely, they'll feel slighted and if they don't, they probably should.

I disagree. Rudd held her own against little attack. Was allowed to skip over questions she was asked, as other leaders were grilled by direct zingers from the mediator. People will also remember the 'coalition of chaos' line. Needed to see less disagreement from the Lab/Lib/SNP.

She was consistently jeered, I agree with the media bias though. They'll also have seen they every party, UKIP aside, is strongly against austerity and the cruel policies. If the public attitude is the same, they'll take that risk or vote Labour. That's what I hope anyway.

Think Labour can be reasonably pleased with their decision to send Corbyn. Don't think it did damage to him but the few that watched even five minutes of it have seen plenty of May bashing.
their wasn't much may bashing really till the last 5 mins, before that they where mainly taking pot shots at each other and shouting over the top of each other

Why do companies have spokesmen?

Theresa May would have died up there tonight, it's no reflection on her as a leader just that there was someone better to fulfil the role of public debate for the Conservatives tonight.

Wow I didn't realise the caf was so pro-labour. Or is it just anti-torie?

Rudd needed the mediator to step in and change topics/questions when it came down to it. The Saudi Arms dealer come back by Lucas & Corbyn's fact checking about May's previous positions on voting on terror.
They wont be forgotten.

And I fail to see how that makes May come out strongly as a result.

So how is it reassuring she's going to represent the country in Brexit negotiations when she's not even the best person in her party to represent them?

Meanwhile.... Mrs May is probably on the naughty step at home right now. The girl's naughty step.

Bit of both. One of the few things the caf has in common with RAWK

Just over half an hour in. The moderator isn't great.

Would imagine it's probably the case on most football forums tbh. Younger, 20-something's on average, often left-wing etc.

Being good in the political arena does not necessarily encompass being a showman.

There's a difference between lacking showmanship and crumbling like a poorly made steak pie as soon as someone even looks like they're going to question you.

Rudd says she hasn't costed their manifesto and yet criticises Corbyn for fantasy economics. Ok.

If you watch her in Prime Minister's questions she's actually very adept at head to head debate, I just don't think she's comfortable in front of the big lights and cameras.

She's bloody terrible at PMQ's, all she does is trot out soundbites and wait for her MPs to heckle.

What? She's really, really not. Cameron was far stronger than May is. She diverts away from basic questions and isn't able to do so competently.

Aside from a minority of Scots/Welsh/N Irish and floating English voters, the Caf is one of those red rosettes on a turd constituencies.

When they're trying to all gang up on Rudd, it'd make more sense for them to...you know, take turns, instead of all doing it at the same time. She's weak when questioned on actual policy. Like most of her party.

Didn't think there was much in-fighting between the parties that might feasibly form a left wing coalition.

Most of the chaos was caused by allowing some bloke from down the pub on the stage with them. Him and Rudd when she was claiming that the Tories are for the needy.
