What is a "two year loan with obligation to buy"? Sounds a lot like just buying the player and having payment deferred.

It's a big risk considering his previous spell in the PL and the fact that people usually don't adapt well going from Serie A to the Premier League. He'll be facing a left back more often than not, which he doesn't do in Serie A playing against teams using 3-5-2.

My only concern with that is it gives the higher ups yet another excuse not to invest in a striker. It'll be "well, they are waiting on Ibra and Griez in January". Don't like this idea. We need a player of the caliber we can get with Ibra's wages in the summer. $300,000 a week is Neymar level. We shouldn't be spending it on Ibra, especially when he's injured.

They'd have to be insane. Ibrahimovic is the only player in the entire squad to score more than 6 goals last season. At an absolute minimum, we need two new attacking players.
I hope they do, it'd be good to have them up in the big league again. They already have the likes of Donnarumma, De Sciglio, Locatelli, Romagnoli etc and have signed/close to signing Rodriguez, Morata, Mussachio, Deulefou(?) and Kessie. That's a solid core to work with and they'll do more shopping still.

He's still young and probably will leave next year. I imagine that from United point of view has been a disappointment, but it is quite gratifying to see such a loyal player.
