Incident on London Bridge

A security guard who oversees a number of pubs in the area has told the BBC he saw four people stabbed by three attackers.

The man, who was deeply shocked and asked not to be named, said he was at the Market Porter pub when a colleague at another bar said there was a stabbing at the Borough Bistro pub nearby.

He said he went towards this pub and saw that "everybody started running" and there was screaming.

The eyewitness added that he saw three attackers, one of whom had a long knife and stabbing people, including a girl in her early 20s.

Vile cretin.

The police reaction time to the start of this incident, reported as 90-120 seconds, is an amazing job by British security forces and should be commended.

Its quite impossible to stop 1 person getting into a car to mow down and stab people. But to limit that terrorist to just a few minutes to commit carnage before being challenged by highly motivated, armed and trained police officers is a very good example of anti-terror policing.

What is up with the second witness in a row on Sky bigging themselves up?

Earlier the guy mentioning his and his friends full names as saviors for the kids on the streets, now this dude.

Yep. In all likelihood it'll turn out to be 3 men who have lived in the UK their whole lives who've probably been radicalised.

Exactly. It's not difficult to understand. Vilifying an entire community makes these attacks more likely to happen.

Someone told on the BBC to move away from monument - is that just them clearing the roads around the bridge or has any more been said?

I hope the situation with the policing numbers is looked at very seriously after whats happened recently, now is not the time to be cutting the numbers when we need them the most

Probably is to an extent - Nice was (I think) the first major one in recent memory that saw the use of a vehicle, and since then it's become more common.

The 'DIY terrorist' concept is also interesting - again, a lot of the people who seem to be carrying out these attacks at the moment are people who affiliate themselves with ISIS but have often had no/limited direct contact with the group itself. Which probably makes it difficult to monitor/stop unless they're already on the watchlists etc.

True, I suppose the police heeding warnings from within the community (such as those regarding Abedi) can potentially mitigate, but obviously not eliminate the threat. Huge resources would be needed, but in the circumstances, there really is no choice but to maximise vigilance.

Absolutely sickening. I was nearby there lastnight celebrating my birthday, how lucky I feel now. How can we possibly fight them? They're an invisible enemy.
So many innocent lives lost due to these pyschopaths.

Quite impressive coverage on ITV. Multiple reporters, covering it from multiple locations, each of them reporting absolutely feck all. Trump's braindead tweets are the only new bit of information they've mentioned in 20+ minutes.

Strength in numbers...where are all the hooligans when you need them to stomp the shit out of some isis cnut with a knife.

Though given how horrific a live attack at a big football event would be for public consciousness, some people are ayre to find it tempting.

True, but then part of the whole point is to make us think shit like this. Specifically the idea that they're so omnipresent that all it would take was one guy to think like that. But in reality, there's only a finite number of people willing to do shit like this, and they're nearly all complete idiots.

Besides, in their mindset, the idea of being caught or turned away from a major mission would be the ultimate failure, so why risk it when you can just bomb a load of kids or drive into some pedestrians like a sociopathic coward?

Four Lions had them down.

When faced with real danger most hooligans will turn the opposite way

Just shown the Muslim cnuts video on sky again directly after apologies about the language the fecking idiots

If anyone heard that interview on BBC? Holy shit, brutal.

Tell us about it?
Sorry yeah

Guys crashed the van on the bridge, wasn't sure whether he hit the people.

3 guys jump out and start punching, kicking and ultimately stabbing the people they tried to ram.

They ran off towards the bars with knives, saw some youngish girl staring at them and stabbed her.

Ran down towards the bars shouting this is for Allah.

you don't get people saying "this is for Buddha" do you? guy on sky confirms attacker shouted "this is for allah"

To be honest. I think there should be no coverage at all. Why put yourself and others in danger, just for some stupid exclusive live coverage. Let the fecking police do their work. Let the police hold one press conference, when it is all said and done. Report and that´s it. Don´t give these assholes a platform. That would help a little.
