Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Roma are kinda stacked in midfield though. De Rossi, Strootman, Radja, Pellegrini. If the reports about Seri are true, they'd just need a warm blooded body as their 6th man in the rotation

They could give that role to Pellegrini, no?

You know the answer is no. He was literally speaking up a Jordi Alba/Herrera swap a week ago.

He wasn't actually. He was talking up Mourinho's interest in alba and specifically said he knew nothing about Herrera-related stories.

The alleged reporter is a Colombian reporter with a source close to James.
BS probably, but hey it's been a slow news day anyway.

Oh god, as if Jose or Woodward have contacted him?! :wenger:

JM: "Hi, is that Rob from the MEN?"

RD: "Yes, is this Jose Mourinho?"

JM: "It sure is. Just calling to say it's going to be a difficult transfer window for us. Just thought you better know so you can Tweet your followers."

RD: "Great, thanks Jose."
Too right. It's the fecking arrogance of these parasites that gets me and is entirely down to there being absolutely no fallout when they get things wrong, despite it happening every single window. They know they can write any old shite about United and it'll get views in the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands.

It would be the usual 433 we're used to. Herrera would drop into the Carrick role with Naingolan taking his position at RCM with Pogba at LCM.

I'd suggest that we'd play a three with Naingollan operating a little further forward than Pogba. Pogba I think is at his best when he's collecting the ball from defenders with space to run into or space to spread the ball.

Cheers for the replies! I do think that is a good point regarding Pogba, seems at his best as a CM with license to attack instead of a pure AM.

I want to discuss it more but don't want to derail this thread so I guess we'll see how it plays out!

Mourinho has stated a few times how tough it is to be in the market as a big club in general. Talking about other teams adding millions on the fee, because it's Manchester United bla bla. Van Gaal did the same and I also never once heard any other Manager saying "This is going to be an easy window". So nothing to be upset about in this part. Also, this thread started on May 28th and already has 1,5 million views, 331 pages and over 13.000 replies. That's just a single club forum, so you can image the range of people you can reach and how much money can be generated with these kind of stories on a daily basis.

I know for a fact that a lot of journalists would like to stop writing nonsense stories, but most people aren't prepared to pay a single penny for quality journalism. Deep down most people want this kind of gossip, at least the majority. The clicks suggest that and without them, there wouldn't be any room for these kind of rumours. Media reflects society. These people are doing their jobs and nothing more. So stop moaning about the problem, when you are contributing to it.

Aurier may leave PSG. Juve on the case. Inter and United could follow.

Yep. And potentially risking it by interrupting your honeymoon to make sure you sign for us.
 risking a 10 days marriage in order to try to solve his/their future!? Don't you think they might have...er...talked about it, and...er....decided to cut it short together! Maybe. Risking...

worst transfer window ever and i guarantee we're going to follow up this window with the worst season ever (if we dont sign more than 4+ players before the tour)

Have you forgotten the summer of Moyes?

An entire summer of blue balls followed by the crushing desperation of signing Fellaini for £30m on the deadline.
