Well no, I doubt he would. Why would he? Nothing wrong with what he said though, any player would say the same in his situation.
Walking away because the club is unreasonable is one thing, but suddenly another option being finalised when all along you are led to believe otherwise... Isn't there a longer term effect in players not wanting to overcommit or push for moves to us?
SAF always got that balance right. I can't remember a single saga where he would leave the player hung out to dry. Very much the opposite.

No doubt Lukaku is done. Wonder if we really have ended interest in Morata? Tbh just seems like an obvious assumption now that Lukaku news is everywhere. Personally wouldn't be surprised if we were still interested in him but now have leverage to not go above our current offer. He's not must-sign anymore but he could easily still be a luxury buy. I think he could play in any of the front 4 positions and would really suit #10 role imo. The more goals the better
