Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I Can't see jim whites name without thinking of the reporter getting the dildo in the ear . I think Lukaku is done.
Best window ever. I couldn't believe it when it happened. It was up there with the feck her right in the pu**y bit you always see.

This season I just blatantly ignore what journalists write.

They've been clueless before, but this season when it comes to us they are hopeless, especially since Woody seems to have started using them for briefs and decoy.

Silently hoping that the Matic and Dier links are smokescreens for Fabinho where there strangely isn't any noise, except French tv.

Honestly Dier is painfully average. There will be millions of better footballers hanging around Barca's academy you could get for less than a million. Why we'd even consider buying him let alone spunking £50m on him is beyond me. He seems decent in a very well-balanced Spurs team but he is so, so limited.

What happened to James from Madrid?? Surely a cheaper option than Coutinho?

You're forgetting James wages which are easily more than double Coutinho's. I also don't think there would actually be that big of a difference in transfer fee judging by Real's ridiculous pricing of Morata

It's Jackson, so take it with a pinch of salt. This one isn't going away.

Don't understand the hate Jackson gets. He was probably the only major journo to suggest Jose wanted Lukaku a month ago. Don't remember his track record being particularly bad.

Why would we put an extra 5m on an already accepted offer?

Journos knows feck all.

Thing with Lukaku too is that he's known his final destination since March. Remember this?

Sky sources understand the Belgium striker - currently preparing for a World Cup Qualifier against Greece on Saturday - has told the Toffees he will not sign a new deal at the club.

Lukaku questioned Everton's ambitions last week and said he needs the "platform" to become one of Europe's best strikers, with a string of top clubs interested in his signing.

He said: "The decision has already been made so I can't talk about that.

"There is nothing wrong with ambition. You have to embrace it and where you are as a footballer.

His mind has been set for a handful of months now. Don't think Chelsea was in the know. The Costa bust up and all that jazz stoked the fires for a Lukaku to Chelsea move, which the papers easily gravitated to. Morata was second choice and United was doing their due diligence in negotiations and understanding facts and figures from RM and Morata's agents.

Starting to think we'll be after a 10 rather than an 6. No real hard links to DM's but our trying to sign griezmann is a hard fact.
I'd strongly doubt it if we weren't in for a 6, though perhaps we are after a 10 as well with Rooney going. Griezmann isn't really a 10 either, as he plays as a secondary striker, although it is a very similar role. Also, I'd say there are fairly strong links with us to Dier, Matic and Fabinho with varying degrees.

I don't get it either. I think football fans get too worked up about journos when they say something they don't want to hear. Or often people on here get upset about how journos say things.

I think that the idea is that Rooney is worth £25M so his fee is added to the price.

I wonder if United added the Rooney transfer to the deal when Chelsea came in matching our £75m offer?

I've seen numerous posts about this, it's £75m + addons =£90-100m, Rooney is free but they pay the wages
