He was, you're right, he started really well. What I mean is that he was not coming as a starter, like for instance Bonucci would be, he came as a young player, but he showed so much he imposed himself on the manager. Even then, he wasn't a starter all season. It could happen the same with Lindelöf, but it would be amazing and Mourinho might even not want that to happen.

Maybe Mourinho felt so assured of Bailly and had a bad opinion of the other centerbacks that he would risk it, yeah, could be. Is it the same now? Not really. Do you seem him risking his career at United starting the League with two close to inexperienced centerbacks? I don't, but let's see what happens. Would be great if Lindelöf grabbed the spot so early on.
And that means he brought Bailly as a starter, right ?
Anyway, it's up to the future to decide, as I said, but I'm sure when signing a defender, Jose knows exactly what he's looking for so I'm confident of Lindelof.
