I remember an entire season long that we struggled from start to finish to score goals. I also remeber from start to finish people were saying we have enough quality with likes off Martial, Rashford, Mata, Mkhitaryan and Zlatan to overcome that problem and we just needed to be patient. Well that problem only got worse over the course of the season.
And I'am really concerned if I hear people saying the same thing now aswell. If we just add Lukaku to replace Zlatan our problems will not be solved simple as that !
Bayern are good negotiators and i guess Ancelotti had a big impact on this transfer. Eithet way, deal is structured in such a way as to be good for both clubsYes,they are but once it's official I guess that they won't be able to hide the truth.
At the end nobody wanted James but the 35m€ of the other tweet looks too cheap.

But in all seriousness, our Griezmann funds and jersey no.7 are still unused. Really smells like the Lukaku transfer, and Jose would love to get one over Conte AND Pep.
Thats double what they pay Isco who played more games. The fact that they pay ronaldo and Bale so much money means it is a big deal and why they can't just go out and buy 140m player without balancing the books by getting rid of there deadwood.
The premier league player wage is a whole other ball park and that happens because of TV money which means most of the clubs can afford to do that where in Germany and Spain only a handfull can.
That's because it's only an option to but because german laws/rules don't allow for obligation to buy, probably. Either way, bayern will trigger the option and sign him permanently, no matter what.

I agree the wingers need to chime in a lot more I expect Mourinho knows this too Mkhitaryan showed what he can do in Europe now he just needs to replicate that in the premier league. Rashford will only continue to improve but more than anything else Martial needs to book his ideas up I suspect thats why Perisic is being targeted in case Martial has another slump.
Lukaku scored more goals than Zlatan last season and missed only 8 chances whilst surrounded by inferior players at Everton he may have a poor first touch but if it's one thing he knows how to do very well it's burying his chances.
I'm pleased with buisness so far but we need a CM and a top draw winger that can play either LW or RW.

You know Marca is full of shit. They throw the obligation on the headline then just say option to buy thereafter. If pushed they will say the obligation is that the price is set, which means feck all. Bayern don't HAVE to buy James.

Talking of footballing ability, would have been nice if Pogba showed us a bit more of that last season. Just cos he cost 90 million doesn't make him the best thing since Pele. We have plenty of good footballers here to play 4-3-3 OR 4-2-3-1. We dominated plenty of games last year, just couldn't finish them off.
Also, Jose prefers counter football as opposed to the dominant possession based drivel LVG had us play. So a bit more positively wouldn't go amiss, we got a good squad, good players and a manager who is a winner. We need tweaks here and there granted, but your making it sound like we're stoke or west brom for gods sake

He's played nearly 200 career games though domestically and 25+ international's. I know people can improve at any age, but typically you don't see it that often with somebody who's played that amount of games, he's had enough practice on the field to improve and he hasn't done so enough IMO to live up to expectation and given he's quite experienced for his age, I honestly don't see him improving that much more. And injuries are always going to get in the way and halt his momentum anyway.
Will he be able to, though, when he has no space whatsoever in the Premier League's packed defenses? His close control when being pressed isn't that great. It was hard seeing him lose every ball against City, for instance.

It's a great deal. One of the major question marks with James was attitude/motivation. Bayern get him on a low risk basis for a couple of seasons and then get to decide whether they are actually spending that at all. If not worth the pre-agreed fee they can walk away/renegotiate.

Dunno, but i heard about that when they got Coman from juve. Also in Italy it's apparently like this, too. You can't write "club X will have to buy player Y for a fee of Z" in the contracts, you can write "club X has the option to sign player Y on a permanent deal for a fee of Z", so the "obligation" to buy is a gentleman's agreement

James is their Rooney eating up funds through his wages and surplus to requirements. More so with the rise of Isco, Asensio, Ceballos arriving and needing room for Mbappe.
Well that we don't play 4-3-3 because we lack far too much creativity and football ability from the midfield and our wingers and fullbacks don't provide enough attacking impulses from the wings to compensate that. Which just basically means everything needs to come from the striker and Pogba which is a total repeat of last season and which we should all know by now doesn't work at all because we don't create enough chances and we don't score enough goals. I mean we finished outside the top 4 and needed EL to secure us CL or did I just dream that ? And in terms of goals scored we were one of the worst teams in the league indeed not that much away from Stoke or West Brom (obviously with a much better defence).
If you want to play 4-3-3 with Pogba as 10 than imo we need a pair of new fullbacks, a new winger and a quality DM to make that work
Alternative is we play 4-2-3-1, get a good 10 and a winger and play Pogba a bit deeper and we largely solve our problems aswell

I don't think I saw this posted, it's from last night so it should be in today's edition. It would be absolutely hilarious if Chelsea fail to get Morata as well.
If teams are parking the bus yes he will struggle as would most players but if we are on a counter attack defences get stretched and that's where he will become most useful for us. He will improve and I think he can be a great player for us he has quite a lot of pace for midfield player not many midfielders in the league will be able to catch him once he's gone, I have high hopes for him.
I'd take a punt on him. Admittedly he's injury prone, but he's young enough to get over it he is brilliant when he does play

I understand you view and we do need additions but there is more to it then just adding a whole new forward line because it misfired last season. Younger players will be better, last years new players will be better, Mourinho will know the player better and the team will have more chemistry.
