Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

If they get Mendy, Kolarov is the backup if Walker gets injured they have Fernandinho who can do a job there. Not an ideal scenario. Think they will end up getting another Right back in unless they intend to play the kid Maffeo as the backup.
Fernandinho can't be a backup when he's the only one giving the defense cover in midfield.

I honestly think that a new CB won't solve anything when they're conceding mostly because their defense is being overexposed.

According to them, we're the bigots who look down on others, the ones who'll never truly understand what it is to support a football club, to celebrate small victories.

At the same time they attack us for celebrating success in a competition that they consider irrelevant and beneath them.

Surely they must know in their hearts that it's not the media that has the agenda, it's the media that constantly holds up the mirror and reminds them that they're not actually the good guys they're desperate for the world to see them as with painful truths.

It comes as no surprise that us being relegated is a more exciting prospect to one of them than City winning the Champions League. And if both happened in the same year, we'd still have the higher attendances the following season.

We'd like to have sent birthday cards but you might have felt obliged on father's day, and 56 cards at the prices they charge could financially cripple a guy.

Thanks for reaching out, and if you fancy finding out what footy with a soul feels like, there'll always be a place on the coach for our boy.

I knew a guy called Maig that was a Stockport fan. He stopped watching them in about 2008.

Nope in their heart of hearts they genuinely believe it. I know it sounds weird, its note even cognitive dissonance, that would require them to be able recognise that what they are talking is bollocks.

If your view of a football forum is based purely on quotes on a rival forum I think you should be questioning your own intelligence.

Not a member of Blue Moon though I have occasionally browsed some threads.

From my brief observation, a number of City fans seem somewhat sensitive to suggestions they might just be arriviste and nouveau not having had the glittering history and tradition that for example the big 3 ( Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal) have in terms of winning honours. They also seem to complain about a press that they see as London centric, Man Utd supporting and biased against City. They do seem to revel in this sense of paranoia and victim hood. Maybe they'll feel more comfortable in their skin when they create a bit more history and win some more honours. Who knows?

I know two categories of Blues myself:

a) Those who are very much aware that winning the lottery made it impossible for them to keep on pretending they’re a loveable and more “authentic” counterpart to the “plastic” behemoth that is United - and who don’t really like this state of affairs. They prefer, deep down, the old order of things (well, “old” is relative, but it became possible to go with the above narrative after Fergie arrived - the idea that City is somehow more “genuine” as such has existed among their fans longer and is common to certain fans of all clubs in history, more or less). In other words, they’re a bit alienated by the new regime.

b) Those who are aware of the above, but who don’t worry about it: They just enjoy being able to compete with United (and others).

The Blue Moon type of nutter is happily unknown to me on the personal level. I know people in both above categories who hate United with a vengeance, so it’s not that - but the combination of being generally bitter AND claiming some sort of moral superiority in spite of the oil money, is something I haven’t experienced in flesh and blood City fans.

David, my post seems to have been misunderstood to a large extent, possibly my inarticulate English. The post I replied to was derogatory toward City fans as a result of posts on Red Cafe that were selective quotes from Blue Moon. I made the point that anyone could quote another forum and make the posters look like idiots. There are many embarrassing posters here, namco, cybersomething, the bloke from Norway who is a 'huge' Utd fan and the one with charlton and best in his username for example. I know that Charlton has a couple of forums with widely digressing views but does that mean Card fans are poor or non-Card fans are idiots?

I would agree that some City fans have a certain sense of paranoia. I think there is a degree of justification for this based on the media's desire to appeal to as much of the public as possible (that being Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal fans..etc). BT Sport's abysmal coverage of City in the Champions League being a good example but recent articles in the Mirror and Mail being more contemporary examples. Whether the feeling will change, who knows but when your club is often portrayed as some sort of malign outsider then it seems natural to assume the role of an outsider.

Your final sentence is truly preposterous. Every single City fan is completely comfortable in their skin and quite happy with their club's history. Manchester City have represented the blue half of Manchester for nearly 150 years. The club has had periods of success and periods of decline. History does not equate to trophies. I loved the club as much when I watched them at Wycombe and Luton in Division two (and Charlton in the second tier I think), as I do now. Presumably, you are jealous of Crystal Palace in the PL and Millwall in the Championship based on that statement and feel that Palace and Millwall are superior clubs?

Blue Moon is a fan's forum. It represents a section of the support. Its members largely go to the games or come from Manchester and went to games before they moved elsewhere. Yes, there are a lot of vitriolic posts toward United. Do you expect anything else?

Nothing against you, but this thread is aimed at having fun of idiots on BM. If you want a serious discussion, please take it somewhere else or start a new thread. ;)

I know, apologies, normally its that bloke who claims to be from Manchester but seems to believe all City fans are from Stockport, who requests this. I guess its not day time in Japan. Over to you..

Getting the excuses in before the match Friday
The word "pacey" doesn't belong in a thread about a pre season friendly. We'll probably lose because they've have had time to adjust to the time difference and they will have had a couple of games. They'll make a big deal about teaching us a football lesson. Bluemoon will be in meltdown. In two months time most of the reactions to the game will be considered to be absurd.

For some reason they think we are the thugs instead of them.
Very worried about this game. They will target our top players and we could have several long term injuries by the end. Still hope we thrash the tw@s.

I get a feeling this idiot is being sarcastic but doubt any of them even know the meaning of the word or how to spell it, let alone implement it.
A pre season friendly means nothing. Unless we win. Then it's clear evidence of our superiority.

I assume PEG is Mourinho? Made up person as per the standard for them and rawk.
Mr Football came over to me earlier with his phone in his hand to show me a picture of his son with PEG.

"Why the feck would I want to see that?" I asked him.

He slouched off with his tail between his legs.

Somebody should tell this dickhead that nobody has snubbed us.
I hope this is true. Not because I think he's particularly good, I just want to know the cnuts have been snubbed...yet again!!

I get that they probably don't watch out matches but to judge a season based on 3 minutes of youtube match clips is ridiculous. Pogba had a great season and it would have been better had his assists been put away.
An amazing season? What the feck is wrong with these people, nobody, with any sort of objectivity,
can say that, it was mediocre at best, and to say that this mediocrity will be 'even better' is wishful
thinking to say the least.

Where the feck were these powers that be last season you deluded shit-eater?
The powers behind the scenes will do their utmost to make sure that the script is followed to make sure the rags keep their place at the top table, as has been the case for a very long time.
I personally want them to finish 19th, as I don't even want them to win the wooden spoon!

I'm done, reading their site for so long is making me feel disgusted with myself.

I'm not holding you back. Get on with it. It can't be too difficult to trawl Blue Moon to find a quote that makes you feel happier about supporting the 'biggest club in the world'.

Bluemoon is a horror show of a forum where the blind eagerly follow the blind.

My advise, stay away, for its evil shall taint all but the strongest of souls.

Something like that.

Do feck off already. If you're not here to take the piss out of the deluded scum buckets on bluemoon who form human centipedes for fun, because eating shit is literally their favourite thing to do, then fecking do one and go to another thread. And putting biggest club in the world in quotes is what your team does because you're a small club and money has not bought you class or fans.

A post inspired by spending time on Blue Moon schmiz?

Uhmm. The distinction between the Welsh boy (now living in Poland) who has chosen to support United for whatever reason, with his hyperbole around City, and a City fan with their hyperbole around United, seems very slim. No, money hasn't bought City fans. Yet. Once the citizens of Wales start jumping on the glory-hunting train then City will know they are on the right-track. Did you catch the correct train boyo?

This post doesn't take the piss out of the scum that is bluemoon at all, I look forward to your threadbanning.

It really annoys me the way they have 10 posts per page too just to build up visitor numbers.

Well the thread of every conversation on there is easy enough to follow. In fact they could probably get away with 1 post per page.

Rag scum plastic glory hunter cnuts (from wales apparently)

rinse and repeat.

Haha, just imagine making a drinking game with those terms, reading 10 pages of their site and drinking for each term, you'd be in hospital by page 4.

I think you've hit on what may be ailing them. Ill advised drinking games leading to lunatic postings, leading to ill advised drinking games...

It's tragic really

Look, you chose to support City, we didn't make you, stop taking it out on us.

It represents a very bitter and angry portion of the support then, and if they're match going then that makes it even worse. Every single post on their United thread is expected to be pro-City and anti-Utd. Anyone who gives so much as a neutral opinion is very quickly labelled a rag and policed by the resident blues. There's so many my 'rag mate at work' stories, that surely a significant amount of them are fabricated and used to push agendas.

Someone's not going to last very long on here.
How did he get promoted?

What exactly are you doing on a United forum? I suggest if your reason is to take the piss out of United and United fans, you aren't going to last very long.

All you have done so far is have a go at other posters.

We are very tolerant of oppos on here, the fact I that Glaston is still here is testament to that. If you want to debate your club, go to the appropriate thread. This is for taking the piss out of those idiots on Bluemoon. The tone of your posting suggests that you ought to be a member over there, not on here.

Fernando is average at best.

Yaya is old and can't defend (see last season).

Gundogan isn't fit and also isn't good at defending.
Agreed, but I still think thats what they will run with next season. Pep thinks because they dominate the ball so much he doesn't need defensive minded players. Hence why they get exposed against top opposition.
