2017 Pre Season | Real Madrid vs Manchester United

The ball moves nicely, they are all technically excellent, but once they come close to the box, they feck up most of the time. I am surprised how well they defended before the goal, closing the middle down and forcing us to play from the wing or move the ball backwards/to the other side of the pitch.

We look good considering the team

They have high quality on the ball so it's normal they won't appear crap, however they lack match fitness clearly. It's still a good game for us as we're not playing our main starting line-up either.

I can't tell if people are being serious with their posts about this match. It's pre season!

MUTV commentary and punditry is hilarious

Bojan has been a breath of fresh air. He talks so much sense it's almost boring (?), like I'm thinking, 'yeah that's true, that's true, good point..err, this isn't entertaining me now' lol.

He had a lot of luck, to be honest.

Did you never have a mate at football when a kid who always seems to get lucky when dribbling and get all the rebounces?

The way tony shapes his body he comes across as lucky, yet he's the guy you always play footy against cursing him how he's so lucky that the balk bounces off his feet and he carries it forward and scores. He's done it loads.

Even his debut goal was similar to that in certain ways.

Martial should be played upfront instead of Rashford. He is just by far the better talent. Rashford is all chaos and go.

Best dribble I've seen in a United shirt for a long time. Simply sublime piece of individual brilliance!

That being said I think overall it's been a decent enough performance. It's pre-season so an unsettled first 11 and we are playing a much better side (harsh reality).

Decent half, kept the Europeans Champions at bay. Pereira our best player in my opinion

Now get Red Rom, Pogs and Mata on, lets show these lot what football is.
I agree. TFM not too far behind. Mata is still injured I believe.

TFM in beast mode again. Lingard has an interesting roving role this pre-season. It's good Mou has identified a tactic that emphasizes his strengths, needs to work on the final ball/shot, which is his main weakness.

AP, with his technique of course went toe to toe with RM and acquitted himself well.

TFM, Pereira, Jones and Bailly have stood out for me in that first half. Martial's dribble and Pereira's against 4 men were the highlights of the half!

Rashford wasn't good alone upfront. And A.Pereira disappointed (me) attacking, he couldn't break through.

Suarez always did that in the EPL.

Watch Jose not mentioning Anthony in the post match interview thus proving, yet again, he doesn't like him.

Need to see Pereira, Pogba and Herrera in midfield at the same time. As much as I feel you limit Herrera playing him as a DM, that combination has got to be worth a go out of our current options.

Stop your negativity, we are leading against the back against back CL champions, we are clearly the greatest team in the world.

Stop it. Martial has had his chances as a striker under two managers. There is a reason Rashford starts there when our first choice is out. If Martial gets back to his form in his first season I'd be all for it but at present time, he's not a better option.

TFM has been frustrating the shite out of their midfield. Outmuscling and out manoeuvring Modric and Kroos. Quite a feat also shut down bale and beat him to the ball on each one vs one.
Impressing out playing their midfield from right back.

no, he has been losing the ball and complaining about being outmuscled. That one part he got involved in you mention is just 1 thing out of the whole half.
Out of the whole half we had 2 shots on target and 1 goal, he assisted 2, so yeah. Imagine the other players.
