2017 Pre Season | Vålerenga vs Manchester United

Both my teams but can't bother going after the shower of shit we were served last time United were in town.

The game ended in a draw. Not too bad from Vålerengas pov.

Going to the game, the weather forecast just changed, so looks like it's going to be raining, was looking forward to a real nice day out, but nothing we can do about that.

Really hoping to see Pogba today, that would be very cool, also Rashford, would be cool to see how he plays live and in person :D

In today's match we might start the same XI going to feature against Real in Super cup as we have to play another one in two days.

According to MEN, this is the squad:
  • Sergio Romero
  • Joel Pereira
  • Chris Smalling
  • Eric Bailly
  • Axel Tuanzebe
  • Timothy Fosu-Mensah
  • Daley Blind
  • Victor Lindelöf
  • Phil Jones
  • Matteo Darmian
  • Demetri Mitchell
  • Michael Carrick
  • Scott McTominay
  • Marouane Fellaini
  • Ander Herrera
  • Paul Pogba
  • Andreas Pereira
  • Henrikh Mkhitaryan
  • Juan Mata
  • Anthony Martial
  • Marcus Rashford
  • Romelu Lukaku

Forget this shite, I'm going to see us on the 2nd! Am I gonna get to see Pogba, Lukaku, Mata, DDG, Herrera and Martial?
Suspect some might be rested/protected ahead of the Super Cup.

Injuries?

Apparently Lingard played the most minutes on the US Tour, so Mourinho is being mindful of that. Risk of fatigue, muscle cramp, etc.

Only 2 goalkeepers can play 45 mins each, so I guess it makes sense to only bring 2 for a 1/2 day trip to Norway.

No idea about Antonio.

Here is how we'll line up for the penultimate game of #MUTOUR...

Fellaini in the team. Knew it. If he was really that close to joining Galatasaray he wouldn't be playing.

Where's Tony V? Seriously hope he's not injured. Good to see Mata and Ander back

Yuck. Fellaini stealing valuable game time from Pereira.

It doesn't matter. He's still a United player and will only leave when a deal is agreed. Many players have left clubs a day after playing their last preseason game

Would be nice to see Mitchell get a run out. I assume we'll be having mass subs again?

The formation has no wingers and mediocre full backs. I don't expect it to be that success unless the opposite team is really terrible in defending centrally.

Let's see if the second half we'll see a different team completely or not.

I still don't believe it makes any sort of sense to sell Fellaini just logically. Even with Matic signing we don't have enough depth to sell him. I've been skeptical the whole time regardless of all the media reporting on it. If we are selling Fellaini we're getting another cm

This is Vålerenga, they are clowns.

Is that your 'you'll know why I played Smalling and Lindelof in a few days', then? Bailly and Jones starting today, and then Smalling and Lindelof again against Madrid?

He, Lingard and De Gea are not in squad at all.

De Gea's understandable, no need to bring him when we're only going to play 2 gks. Lingard is understandable due to fatigue, he played a lot of minutes on tour. Hopefully Valencia is just being rested due to his importance and the wish to avoid any sort of injury
