True. I mean, we'll never see a tiki-taka, one-touch type of football under Mourinho, unfortunately.

I'd have definitely bought differently, but it's a crazy transfer market & at least we have made three reinforcements for our first XI.
 
Playing with no 10s on the wing and using defensive full backs is never, ever going to result in anything good.

completely agree with this. Even when we play with our first choice full backs, valencia and shaw , we rarely encourage them to overlap early. they mostly do so when the defense of the opposition is already sitting back. Theres no point in having attacking pacey full backs if we arent going to use their strengths. very frustrating to watch.
 
Okay, we are now bringing on a whole bunch of faster players.
I expect us to attack harder this half.

You need width!! That's why some players stay on the chalk, because it pulls defences wide and create spaces centrally. I'm fine with a no.10 on one side playing a little in but if you do that then you must have a genuine wide man on the other side keeping width or else it just gets congested.

If you get a guy who can stay wide, it does wonders for full-backs who can overlap on the inside in channels; likewise, athletic full-backs staying wide allow wide men to make the same inside channel runs. You just limit yourself when everyone is a come short inside player. Martial wants to come inside, Rashford wants to come inside, and that would be fine if the full-back provided the width for them to do that, but, we don't have that right now.

That's why we signed him. Even Fellaini doesn't score those types of goals.
 
Gonna stick my neck out and say Pereira will be a regular starter by the end of the season latest.
