If it happens this summer I will be surprised but definitely not shocked.
If it was to happen I would rather we went looking for a top striker, someone like Aubameyang rather than look for a direct replacement, go to a 4-2-3-1 with Salah, Firmino and Mane behind the main striker. I don't think we would miss him as much as some might think. It's more about the excitement he can create with his close control and dribbling also the occasional wonder goal.
 
Looks like everyone is willing to take a pop at Barca now... This is a bit like what happened to us, at first tiny cracks appear and then before you know it you are down off that pedestal very much all of a sudden. I just hope this spurs them on and doesnt allow Real to gallop off into the distance. You get the feeling that if they try doubly hard to get Mbappe then Real will have really strengthened nicely just at a time when Barca have weakened.

Vultures are circling for Barca it seems.

No they wont! Central midfield is too weak, Cech isn't what he used to be and if they lose 2 of their best defenders to injuries, they look really poor. And besides - it's Arsenal!
 
Trying to put bias aside, Coutinho would be a fool to turn down that move.

Playing for Barcelona, replacing Neymar, getting to play with Messi and Suarez, much better chance at winning trophies, more pay and I've never been to either place but I imagine Barcelona/Catalonia >>> Liverpool/Merseyside.
 

Big battle Real/PSG for Mbappe. 2 clubs multiplied contacts with those close to the player. Each hopes to convince Kylian quickly.

Did you not see some of Rojo's tackling last year? Beyond reckless.

I can see the need for TFM to get some proper solid game time in on loan but do feel we could do with him staying to rotate with Valencia and not sign Aurier who is a complete head case.

If we sign a RB, then TFM needs a loan. If he does well, he needs to be around our team next season.

Rojo had 2 very rash and dangerous red worthy tackles all season. TFM had 2 or 3 lunges in the space of injury time in the match I mentioned. The tackles weren't comparable in the slightest, more that TFM on and ran around like a lunatic for 2/3 minutes, the perfect example of why he needs more game time for composure.

Bluemoon's version of Acquire Me, someone called "Tolmiehairdo", had them all convinced that City were going for both Sanchez and Mbappe and that something huge had happened a couple of days ago. He has them all lapping up all the BS he comes out with, I wonder when he'll have his Acquire Me exposed moment. It's going to be hilarious if/when they end up with neither player:lol::lol:

The thing is Messi and Suarez will both be gone in a few years as will Ronaldo at R.M so what then? I know they will still have great players but will those players have the same pull as the fore-mentioned? Or will it be a case of the weather?

I want to play European football again and challenge for major honours and as such I would like Southampton to consider the interest in me from top clubs should it still exist.

Its kind of stupid how the Saints have handled it.
From a bidding war, they have reached a scenario where they will be low balled and will have to accept some bid by the time the window ends.
Were they realistically expecting him to stay follow all the antics? It would have made sense of the club in question was Everton and had at least a bit of ambition.
Saints are no way near European football.

Bale should be honoured due to Jose breaking his rules for him. Clearly wants him to show he wants to join United. Not sure this will/should happen though..

Could make sure that Real play someone who isn't completely fit as well, nothing like rushing someone back from injury to prove you love them.

Maybe if it really is only Liverpool he wants Southampton may end up inviting us back to the table and see what they can get out of us.

In a way this seems to confirm the opposite for me - that we do have someone else in mind and Jose is piling on the pressure on whatever club or player our priority is.
