Awful article. When was the last time Bale play as LW? He is most effective playing through the middle, had his best season at Spurs playing there, and I would think Mourinho would play him there first before putting him back at LW. Let alone LWB.
I think Darmian played well for his standard against Sampdoria, and if there is no new signing, he should play there more often (LWB). I think some of the players suffered a bit in their form because of start-stop kind of playing continuity last season. I know it is part of the rotation because of the many games involved but he should be given the chance at least until Shaw recovered and get into form.
