I think 30m is reasonable for Barkley he's a good player, nowhere near world class but a good premier league attacking midfielder.
Well, in today's market, thinking what some other players are going for, 30m isn't that much for a player like him. Just think the fees Bony, Bolaise and Benteke fetched.
He has one year left on his contract? Some people were saying Swansea were ridiculous for asking £50m for a better player with a longer contract, but Everton selling the guy they're going to replace for £30m is justified?
For 30m i'd have him here. Young and english, he could replace Lingard in the squad and improve our team.
In a new environment, a fresh challenge, I think Barkley has the potential to be fantastic for us.

I am surprised that they aren't too. I mean if it is correct that Dortmund are letting him go to Barca for 130 million I would be surprised to see them have a free run at the player without PSG getting involved. It really has just become like FIFA for them. It's a shame that they obviously don't care about FFP and just pay whatever fine they receive. Sad times for football I think.

I think their demands were like 50m or something before. If he gets sold, it will probably be for under 30m now, which I think would be a decent punt for a lot of teams.

But i thought Lingard's best position is AMF? And yes i know they don't play the same position, that's why i said he can replace him in the squad, in the sense as a squad option, homegrown and can play various midfield roles. I've seen Barkley employed at the wing (although at right wing and not so forward).

Benteke and Bony are strikers, Bolasie is a winger. All positions much harder to fill than an average attacking midfielder.
