I highly doubt that's true. Most papers claimed they're reluctant to offer more than 25 million for him a few weeks ago, so I don't see why they'd offer 40 million with around 2 weeks until the deadline for a player whose price should be dropping with each passing day.
I saw a clip on twitter of a video of his performance against Derby U23s this morning, so I'm assuming he's just got back fit. I think his last injury was a broken leg and not a recurring one he's had.
Oxlade Chambermaid and his ridiculous hair would be such an underwhelming signing.

If he does something wrong then I'll criticise him for it. But the notion that Spurs are looking to sign players as a response to Rose's interview is laughable.
We'll have had plans for this window - in terms of who we want to sign - in place for a long time. And Levy often leaves it late in the window before acting. As I said before, I doubt Levy gives a flying feck about squeaking noises from Rose.
He most certainly wasn't. People with connections to the squad say that he was cold-shouldered for breaching club and squad solidarity.

Your faith in media stories is touching. There is just nothing going on with transfers at the minute it seems. Can it be that the Neymar deal has royally fooked the market, to be fair, how do you price a player now. Also, what kind of effect does this have on any deals that were in progress? I can imagine if it was hard for us to get Perisic at the value we were talking about at the start of the window, then its only going to make a selling club stronger...Can see there being a bit of a problem with signings for the rest of the window
Cedric would be a shrewd signing for Chelsea if they can get him for a reasonable price. Very good player who is keeping out impressive competition to maintain his starting place in the NT.
Personally think Cedric is very overrated. He's not a particularly great full back imo and certainly not good enough to play for Chelsea. He picks up cards every second game. He's decent going forward though so maybe he'd be more suited to a wing back role.
