Barça playing with 3 at the back? Seems a bit weird to drop an attacking player and add a defender when you need to score 3 at the Bernabeu but it will be interesting to see how they're set up.

Hopefully they get an early goal to liven up the match.
 
What makes people think Barcelona will play three at the back? At Bilbao Valverde favoured 4-2-3-1 and has picked a team that can line up that way, with Mascherano and Busquets as a double pivot. I could be wrong but after the Nou Camp loss I can see him reverting to type.

There's no point in having an extra forward if we lose the midfield battle and he gets ignored like Deulo or doesn't create much danger like Denis

I finally get to see us leaving the 433 which I think is the worst option for the midfielders we have and how Messi is no longer a RW, but I'm rabid that we get to try this vs Real, at the Bernabeu and with Gomes as a starter, a bad showing here could destroy any chance we see this further in the season

Hasn't Mascherano been terrible in midfield the last few times he's played there? If both him and Busquets are in midfield how will Gomes, Rakitic, Messi and Suarez set up? I guess it could work with Gomes playing on the left but I think it's more likely Valverde is playing 3 at the back.

I think we should win this one as well it might not go down well and we could even bottle it but just look at the bench of each team.

REAL MADRID: Casilla, Nacho, Theo, Casemiro, Ceballos, Isco y Bale.
BARCELONA: Cillessen, Aleix Vidal, Digne, Semedo, Denis, Deulofeu y Alcácer.

Valverde is kind of a Bielsista. He likes a hard-running, hard-pressing midfield
 
So... Valverde is going full Premier League tactic tonight? 3-5-2 when they attack, 5-3-2 when they defend. Actually not a bad idea; crowd the midfield when attacking and cover their vulnerable wings (ehm right wing) when defending. This could end up being yet another amazing el clasico at the Bernarbeu.

0 centrebacks, no Defensive midfielders either just 3 fullbacks and 3 attackers.

We're in August and we field a 11 with 0 chances to be refreshed by the bench in key areas, fml
 
Excited to see Asensio again tonight, he's brilliant. Wonder if a monster bid in 2-3 years would turn his head ;)

Good points. It really does look a 352. Almost heretical in Barcelona to abandon 4-3-3. New era indeed.
