Supercopa de Espana | Real Madrid / Barcelona

And fans here were crying because we lost 2-1 to them. This Madrid side is immense, the fact we could well have nicked more from the game in those last 20 minutes shows how far we've actually come under Mourinho.

Sky commentators have just raised a good point about Madrid not looking any worse even without Ronaldo.

The biggest test for these two teams over the coming years is how they transition to the post Messi/Ronaldo years. Madrid don't look like that'll be an issue but this Barca side are nothing without Messi.

This is also why I think Zidane as a coach is the real deal. He rotated a lot last season and the collective still performed well. Great management and effective tactics in my book. He seems to maximise everybody's quality. And that's lethal with their quality.

We want to se Ceballos! Come one Zizou

If anything Ronaldo probably holds them back at times, not in terms of output because he's still a monster but in terms of overall play. I think they'll be just as strong without him.

Years of shit transfer deals is catching up with Barce, the squad really isn't great these days.

We can't be arsed in the second half tbf

Can't believe how average Barcelona look to have become. They were already not great last season but the loss of Neymar could be more severe than I thought. He was going to be their mainstay for years and smoothen the transition after Messi but now it looks like they could be completely lost.

His biggest contribution would be his goals and finishing in the final third. I think he upfront would be devastating if we line up Vázquez, Isco and Asensio. Obviously we shouldn't be playing the BBC at all, specially not Ronaldo with Bale for the time being.

I'm still surprised Florentino was not interested in selling Bale. They patently don't need him. Isco, Asensio, L.Vasquez all vying for his spot.

Anyone else get Sam the Eagle vibes from Valverde?

I wonder what Messi is thinking now?

Will he be starting to think about maybe moving on? Or will he be content to play for a Barcelona that looks in huge decline?

Feels like no one can accept the fact he's actually done there, hopefully it'll click with them soon.

If he's ever going to leave, now is the time.

Don't think he's officially signed his extension either.

We splashed 35M for a player that plays in the spot of our MVP today (Sergi Roberto)
