Messi himself won't leave, as it would mean he will tarnish his image and rapport with the fans. He values his Barca legacy. Maybe he will leave in another 3-4 years, but not now, though he will likely make occasional threats to up his salary.
What an amazing attitude! You deplore a club chair for successfully keeping the wage bill down, even though at the same time the same strong first XI has been mostly kept together, contract renewals have continued to be signed and the club continues to attract talented players.

I cannot see Barca being happy with Messi leaving. Plus €300m is a hell of a lot of money. I cannot see it materialising this late in the window.
